Ordered a cookie ice cream for takeout yesterday around 4:30 p.m. & paid nearly $20 including tip. After I paid, the cashier asked if I wanted my receipt. I said yes, & she handed it to me.

After waiting about 20 minutes with no order, I went to the barista to ask about it. The barista couldn't find my order, & when they asked the cashier, she said in French that I had the receipt, implying that this was why the order hadn't been made.

This explanation made no sense. If the customer receipt was the only copy, then why did the cashier offer it to me in the first place? More importantly, if giving me the receipt meant the barista would never know an order had been placed, why wasn't the baristas informed that there was an order to prepare? How could the barista possibly know to make my ice cream if no one told them?

If there was supposed to be a separate store copy of the receipt, then that should have been given to the baristas instead. Either way, this was an internal communication issue, not a mistake on my part as the customer.

What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. The cashier never apologized or acknowledged the mistake, nor did she address me directly after the issue was discovered. Instead, I was left feeling as though I was being blamed for simply accepting the receipt that I had been offered. For a simple takeout ice cream that cost nearly $20 after tip, I expected much better service, communication, & basic customer care.

This place an amazing interior & even features a cute little gift shop stocked with Jellycats! We both had the affogato, which was incredibly good, & absolutely loved the music playing in the background. It is such a charming spot & the perfect place to grab a treat!

Petit déjeuner dans cet établissement. Il y en a plusieurs dans la ville.
Service rapide malgré le monde. Large choix de viennoiseries & de sandwich. Tout est bon.
Coffee shop finalement assez classique.

Went here while walking around the old town of montreal. Coffee was really good, didnt have any food other than the cheese scones at the barz

This is a beautiful, cozy coffee shop with a great atmosphere. The coffee tasted very good, & we really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was the breakfast food. The sandwiches & other items were good, but I expected larger portions & a bit better value for the price. Overall, it's a nice place for coffee, but the food could be improved.
