Beautiful new location. The food is good however it is more expansive. For the same price as the previous location, they don't serve 2 poached eggs anymore. Only 1 for 40$ & no fruit on the side. I'd recommend the grilled cheese as the portion looks bigger.

Trendy Montreal cafe with upscale delights. Delicious traditional Italian espresso based coffees. Fantastic gelatos flavours. I had a classic hazelnut. I was a bit shocked by the $17 price tag for an espresso & gelato with tip but I guess you pay for the atmosphere as the tunes were tight & ambiance just right for an afternoon delight.
Service: - Waited for 40+ mins for the food - Served us the wrong side & the side arrived after we finished the main plate Food: - Taste is ok but it arrived cold Environment: Loved the vibe but the small tables for two along the sofa can barely fit 2 main plates. I don't understand why they even bother serving brunch there - it's so small that it should only be meant for drinks & small plates for two people. Price: - Definitely expensive for what we experienced today

Plus cher, moins bon qu'avant le déménagement. Ne donnent plus les petits à côtés (mini salade de fruit & jus). Service très lent (50-55mins pour avoir nos plats). Portions généreuses, le pain doré est aussi croustillant & moelleux. Dommage pour le reste.
Excellent brunch, saveur incroyable. C'était fait avec soins & tout était très harmonieux. Le quartier où c'était anciennement localisé était un peu creepy.. Les cafés lattés laissent à désirer un peu, café de mauvaise qualité? manque de saveur..
Great experience at le passé composé. Their menu is very different compared to other brunch places. A little on the heavier side but great flavours overall. The service was good as well & they have a little terrace which is a plus for me

I came to Le Passé Composé for lunch a while ago & tried their 2 Foie Gras Poached Eggs Benedict. The atmosphere was chill & relaxing & the server was quite friendly. The benedict was really good in terms of flavour, texture, overall food ratio/balance, nicely poached eggs, & good turnip/potato. Trying Foie Gras for the first time was interesting as well & the foie gras complimented the food. I would go there again for the food again but it may be better for couples as the dish can feel a bit overwhelming or greasy near the end. Overall, I'd give the experience 8.8/10
The best brunch in mtl ! It's worth the wait. I recommend going early as there's always a line. The foie gras poached eggs is delicious & very filling. Brioche bread, poached goose eggs, grade "A" foie gras (Rougié), foie gras sauce, onion jam, prosciutto chips, poppy seeds, arugula sprouts, honey-glazed turnips. It's so rich, so good. Their panko French toast is also a great dish. Highly recommend.
J'ai eu l'occasion d'essayer ce resto & je dois dire que j'ai été agréablement surpris. Du service à la clientèle à la qualité de la nourriture & des repas, tous étaient excellents. Le menu est simple, mais ce qui est proposé est très bon. Les prix sont un peu cher, mais justifiable de par la qualité de ce qui est offert aux clients. Je recommande fortement !
Original brunch options, like French toast made with panko. People who arrived 20 min late to their reservation got their table sooner than us, even though we were on time for ours. Not a very logical system!
