Le Nil Bleu situé sur la rue St-Denis dans le quartier du Plateau Mont-Royal est un rare restaurant éthiopiens à offrir une cuisine exotique riche en saveurs. La cuisine éthiopienne est composée de viandes (poulet, agneau et boeuf) et de plats végétariens. Le Nil bleu sert des assiettes-combo pour permettre aux curieux de goûter à plusieurs plats. Décor exotique, composé d'objets d'art, d'instruments de musique et de tissus imprimés. Nous offrons maintenant un service de livraison!

Bonne découverte & première fois dans un restaurant éthiopien. La nourriture est savoureuse & le fait de manger sans couverts ajoute beaucoup de convivialité. Le service était impeccable. La salle du bas est plus agréable car moins bruyante pour discuter.Voir plus

Magnifique restaurant! Une mélodie des goûts & un tel plaisir des yeux! Notre famille & nos amis de plus en plus nombreux autour de nous sont toujours satisfaits. On a envie d'y revenir sans arrêt & on est toujours tellement bien accueillis avec un service impeccable & une hygiène sans défaut.

This was my second time going there with my daughter & we get first class service, I was impressed! The inside was Warm & cozy, Lovely decor, Very classy & romantic. The food was AMAZING!!! & still the same, still great, The hummus was different than others I've tried, also the injera was so so delicious, everything we ordered was delicious. The staff were very friendly & helpful making recommendations. The Bathrooms are very interesting too. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Montreal who want to try something new! It is the best Ethiopian food we have ever had We will return. Five out of five. Well done! The experience at Blue Nile was truly like no other. The food & service was overall good aside for some weird comments from a waiter. However, the aftermath was nothing short of bad. 8 out of the 11 people in our group had terrible stomach pain lasting more than a day. We called the restaurant & were informed that our stomachs were just too weak to handle the meat. They also told us that the tartare might be the culprit as it was meant to be eaten within 5 minutes of being served; a warning we never got. Overall, I give it 2 stars as it was a memorable night (for the wrong reasons) & a unique group bonding experience.Voir plus

My friends & I had a great dinner at Nil Bleu. As it was our first times trying Ethiopian food, the waiters were helpful in telling us about the dishes & portion sizes.
As a group of 4 we got the vegetarian sampler for 2, & then ordered two additional meat dishes off the menu. It was more than enough food for us all as there was even some leftover.

For the past 20 years, this has been my go-to whenever friends & family are visiting Montreal because I can trust that the cuisine & the experience will be impeccable & spectacular. I am amazed to see that Le Nil Bleu has only gotten better since the pandemic, with even bigger & more diverse sharing platters, even more perfect & varied spice blends & an even more impressive wine list. I can't imagine the reviewers saying that the service is poor or slow. I've never once had a problem in all these 20 years. We are always treated like special customers & have often been offered a free dessert or digestif. I've never had a problem being served the wrong thing even when our party has been large & the restaurant has been full. If you want a fast food meal with a tablecloth on the table, go to one of the myriad "smashburger" joints. If you want a culinary journey to one of the world's richest cultures complete with tasteful decor, enjoyable music (sometimes live!) & healthy, delicious food that can please meat eaters, gluten free eaters & vegans all at the same table, at pre-pandemic prices, look no further!Voir plus
