Currently on holidays from Australia with my mum is a coeliac. She'd been finding it difficult not being able to have any baked goods while seeing us eat them all the time.
We found le Marquis & it was amazing. Unfortunately for us visiting later in the day meant that fresh croissants were sold out, but we were able to enjoy a cake & a crepe.
The pistache framboise was one of the most incredible cakes I've ever eaten. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her first crepe in over 25 years.
The staff were super friendly & accommodating for our large-ish group.

It's so difficult to find good gluten free pastry in this world & this restaurant had an abundance of options. We had a fruit gateau & a chocolate raspberry gateau as well as piece of feta & spinach quiche. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for gluten free pastry.Voir plus

Love that it's all gf! We both had breakfast sandwiches on croissant. They were good but the croissant was a bit stale & dry. Would definitely go back & try again. The coffees were decent as well.Voir plus

Everything served here is GF so no need to worry about cross contamination. We stopped in Wednesday morning for a croissant sandwich. The gentleman made them fresh for us on the spot. Portions were quite liberal & it was very good. The restaurant was in need of some tidying up but overall very good.Voir plus

Absolutely amazing place - a true paradise for celiacs & anyone looking for safe, delicious gluten-free food.
I spent a week in the city & came here every single day to try something new. Everything I tasted was outstanding - sweet or savory, it's all full of flavor & completely safe for people with celiac disease. You can truly eat with peace of mind, with no risk of cross-contamination.
Service-wise, it was a mixed experience. Every time I was helped by the chef or the guy working there, the service was truly exceptional - kind, attentive, & enthusiastic, unlike anywhere else. However, when the woman served me, the experience was the opposite. She seemed annoyed to be there, uninterested in helping customers, & lacked any real care or willingness to serve properly.
Despite that, I still highly recommend this place for its incredible food & gluten-free safety. Just hope you get the right person at the counter!Voir plus
