Review Summary

Le Lotus Bleu is widely praised as an authentic and affordable destination in Chinatown, particularly celebrated for its hand-pulled noodles and flavorful broths. Many visitors highlight the fresh quality of the handmade noodles and dumplings, with several patrons noting the enjoyable experience of watching staff prepare the noodles on-site. While the majority of reviews celebrate the delicious food and generous portions, some diners mention that the restaurant atmosphere is simple, compact, and occasionally crowded. Service experiences vary, with some guests finding the staff friendly and efficient, while others report occasional delays or issues with temperature control and seating arrangements. Despite these minor inconsistencies in service and comfort, the consensus remains that this restaurant is a highly recommended, underrated gem for those seeking genuine Northern Chinese cuisine.

I went yesterday in a virtual date with my girlfriend. I was trying the place for the first time I got noodles & dumplings.. the place was hot with unenjoyable way & I was sweating. it had some flies on the air even when the food came they started flying over my food.. the dumplings were not defrosted before so once it got cooked it was extra watery .. the noodle was mid & there was another group that they were sweating the whole time & they didn't seem happy with the experience too .. I took the food to go & went to another place

Wow, I didn't expect the beef noodle soup to be this good! The hand-pulled noodles are definitely the best part-perfectly chewy & delicious. It's a must-try.

Waited almost 20min for my order, my colleague waited 30min for his meal which at some point someone asked him what was his order...Then they tried to charge that bowl twice. The dining room is quite small & compact, so I kept getting bumped in my back. We had a bucket of water on the table but nobody passed to give us cups. The only good point was the bowls were pretty big, but mostly filled with broath....

The food is great! I loved the hand pulled noodles in the lamb soup & the xialongbao were delicious, the soup inside was super flavorful. Bonus points for seeing the noodles being made live!
Also I was served in French which is rare in that area of the city, much appreciated:)

Truly an underrated noodle shop. Their beef & lamb soup noodles are very tasty. Broth is clean, portions are generous.

Their dumplings are also some of the best in Montreal.
