Review Summary

Le Lotus Bleu is widely celebrated as an authentic and underrated gem in Montreal, offering exceptionally tasty, hand pulled noodles and flavorful broths that many patrons prefer over neighboring options. Visitors consistently praise the generous portion sizes, affordable pricing, and the skillful preparation of fresh, chewy noodles and juicy dumplings, often noting that the experience feels like a cozy, family run establishment. While the venue can become warm due to the open kitchen and sometimes feels compact, the high quality of the food and the welcoming, efficient service make it a favorite destination for those seeking traditional, comfort oriented Chinese cuisine.

Fell in love with the Le Lotus Bleu during our summer 2023 visit & we've been meaning to go back! They've made several changes in the past few years, including bringing the noodle chefs to the front & staying open on Tuesdays. The hand pulled noodles here are so good. My partner & I got the small bowls (braised beef & lamb noodle soups), but the portions are HUGE. Highly recommend going for noodle style 6 (thickest, more chewy) or 4. We also got the pork & cabbage dumplings, which are super juicy. This meal was very filling; we could've done without the dumplings, but they're too good to pass up. Service was ok since only one person was handling most FOH procedures. Atmosphere was also fine. It was just really warm, even with the multiple fans running (open doors, no AC), but it was to be expected with the pots of noodles cooking in the front. Since everything is so tasty & affordable, we'll try to make a stop every time we visit :)

BRAISED BEEF SOUP NOODLE (S) - $13.99 CAD
LAMB SOUP NOODLE (S) - $14.99 CAD
PORK & CABBAGE DUMPLINGS (15) - $11.99 CAD

We loved everything we ordered except for the xiaolong bao which had no soup inside. Highly recommend the minced pork noodles, very nice flavor. & yes other reviews about no AC is correct.the service was friendly & fast. The lady made fresh noodles in the kitchen was kind to give us a show of noodle making ❤?

This was our favorite restaurant of our 5 days spent in Montreal. We had the beef hand-pulled noodle soup, pork dumplings, & jasmine tea. Everything was delicious, highly recommended. Decor & ambiance were also good, & staff were helpful navigating the menu. Initially it was pretty quiet crowd-wise, but around 12:30 all the tables filled up.

Must-try hand-pulled thick noodles & a cool'live show' experience watching the noodle chef at work! The pork intestines & octopus were delicious. On the downside, the traditional Lanzhou items (lamb, soup, & tea eggs) were a bit bland. Definitely worth a visit for the noodles & the vibe, though!

Their noodle soup is delicious. I got the spicy minced pork one with the thicker noodles. I considered going two days in a row because I couldn't stop thinking about how much I enjoyed their food! Service was great too - fast & incredibly friendly.

The only draw back is that there is a lot not available on their menu (many items were crossed out) & the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired.

Ill definitely go back next time I am in Montreal again.
