Must-try hand-pulled thick noodles & a cool'live show' experience watching the noodle chef at work! The pork intestines & octopus were delicious. On the downside, the traditional Lanzhou items (lamb, soup, & tea eggs) were a bit bland. Definitely worth a visit for the noodles & the vibe, though!
Delicious hand pulled noodles at this casual Chinese restaurant in Chinatown in the Swatow Plaza. Nice decor & pleasant service. I had the Spicy Mushrooms & Chicken Noodle Soup & my husband had the imperial rolls & fried shrimp wontons. I loved my soup & my husband enjoyed his food.
My hometown is in Henan & I can testify the hand pulled noodles & steamed noodles are very authentic! Very yummy
It's a hidden gem but sadly underrated due to the popularity of the noodles shop next few shops away which always has the long queue at all time that drew attention away from this little noodle place.
I had tried both noodle places & honestly I like this better, taste wise it's excellent, hand-pulled noodle as well & straight walk in for food.
I do highly recommend to give Le Lotus Bleu a try, you won't regret it.
Great spot, with attentive service. Prices were fair, & food was very authentic. We ordered dumplings & dim sum, but would be interested in coming back next time for the fresh hand pulled noodles!
Thanks!
Wow, I didn't expect the beef noodle soup to be this good! The hand-pulled noodles are definitely the best part-perfectly chewy & delicious. It's a must-try.
Fresh dumplings & hand pulled noodles, authentic & flavourful!! They get really busy during peak hours
extremely underrated place. the food is spectacular i think about coming here all the time hahahah. the ladies working there are so lovely & kind!! the lamb soup & hand pulled noodles is my absolute fav
I recommend. Most excellent dinning experience, very reminiscent of my dining experience in Hong Kong. I got the spicy minced pork & hand pulled noodles they were most outstanding.
This place is a hidden gem. We all had the #6 handpulled noodles with lamb (on first page of the menu) & it blew us away.
& the family that runs the place is very friendly..we had a great conversation with the lady serving us.
Forget standing in line at the famous place next door & come here. The hand pulled noodles are better, the broth is better & the toppings are better.
Lotus Bleu is a hidden gem in Chinatown, known for their incredible Henan hand-pulled noodles with lamb-it's their specialty, & it's so good. Ever since I first tried that soup, I've been a loyal customer. Their hagows are also really tasty & worth trying. The staff is always so friendly, & it's a joy to see them each visit. The place is cozy & welcoming-absolutely love it here!
Loved this place. We were visiting Montreal & saw them hand pulling noodles when we walked by. We came back later for dinner with our party of eight. Everything was great! Many types of hand pulled noodles & dumplings. Great wonton soup. Also the best fried wontons ever. All handmade unlike many restaurants that use packaged wontons for fried wontons. We got there at the end of the night so it was pretty empty & they literally made our noodles to order. They were so good we ordered more & they pulled some more noodles for us. The stretch them by hand & cook them in giant pots of boiling water & then prepare them into delicious dishes. I think the best was the braised pork with noodles, but they were all great. The staff were all super friendly even though we came with a big group at the end of the night. It's the opposite of fancy, which I appreciate. The focus is on the food. Plastic covered tables, plastic plates etc (solid washable ones not disposable). I'm giving them 5 stars for atmosphere anyway since it's cozy & friendly & they don't pretend it's fancy.
Really great! Hand pulled noodles as advertised.
Delicious juicy thick slices of LAMB 😍
Tasty, flavourful broth (not overly salty)
Chewy noodles.
You literally can't ask for more.
We ordered the half herbal chicken, which was apparently a regional specialty, & we find it very tasty as well.
The mainland Chinese students beside us seemed to be regulars. The place was packed for Thanksgiving Sunday so service a little slower.
Decor / ambiance is not "high class" but the buzz from the diners & friendly service makes you feels like home.
They're food is so so delicious & you can tell they make it from scratch. The braised beef soup noodles are sooooooo good! The noodles are hand pulled. The Daoko chicken is also really good.
Got a bunch of things. Highlights were hand pulled noodles all of the dumplings especially shrimp glass dumplings off dimsum menu. Rolled in at 8:30 with a party of 8 staff was very attentive & accompdating. Food was fresh & authentic. Definitely coming back next time I'm in MTL. Compares very well to Chinese food in NYC. +very affordable price although that was not in consideration when searching for authentic Chinese food.
I finished a very long shift on sunday that ended at 9pm & was severely craving some dumplings. Lotus Bleu was one of the only restaurants still open in the area so my coworker & I went here to eat a well deserved meal... When I tell you this is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at, I am not joking. I'm not very often impressed when I eat out so this is why I've decided to leave this review. A must eat at a more than reasonable price. My tired self was very happy to eat hand pulled noodles on that gloomy november evening.
Delicious hand pulled noodles & dumplings, nice broth, very generous portions.
Really good experience. We went on a very hot day & as soon as we were seated the waitress made sure we had a fan directed at our table. The hand pulled noodles & dumplings were very good.
The lady that owns the place was really nice! We were here until closing & they served us diligently without rushing. The hand pulled noodles were great & flavorful, & so were the dumplings! Only downside is the restaurant was quite hot with no ac, & the washrooms are all the way on the 2nd floor of the mall, which was closed & kinda sketchy.
Beyond my expectation! We had the signature hand pulled lamb soup noodle, sliced braised beef, shredded salad, DongBei LiangPi (cold skin noodle). Everything was very authentic & flavorful. If you order non-spicy, you can add a bit of chili oil & vinegar to make the dishes even more delicious.
