My friends very much enjoyed their Shish Kebab & chicken brochette. I had the filet mignon brochette but it was very sinewy/chewy. I did not enjoy it & will not order again. Charlene is an excellent waitress.

Nous l'avons adoré. C'est toujours une valeur sûre. Par ailleurs, nous avions le restaurant presque à nous-mêmes (nous étions 3). Les amis ont bien apprécié l'agneau, cuisiné à leur goût. Moi, j'ai pris les calmars, excellents. Le serveur était très sympathique.

DANGEROUSLY IRRESPONSIBLE ESTABLISHMENT FOR ANYONE WITH ALLERGIES. I called ahead to make sure that the kitchen could accommodate a gluten free diet. I was assured by the staff that it was no problem at all, & so I made a reservation. I asked the server upon arrival to just double check that my order would be gluten free & she chuckled & told me that they were going to take good care of me. After waiting 1h50 for our food, I was three bites in when the waitress came over to mentioned that there was gluten in my rice & salad dressing, all of which were mixed around on my plate. I am now needing to get medical attention from a celiac reaction. As lovely as I'm sure this place can be, I would CERTAINLY NEVER recommend it to anyone who has food allergies. This establishment needs to take a serious look at how they treat allergies, they could end up killing someone.

We would like to update you that a representative of the "Service de l'environnement - Division de l'inspection des aliments" of the Ville de Montréal has visited our establishment in light of a recent complaint that was received by a customer with celiac disease. Please note that allergy attacks are taken very seriously in the Montreal food industry and equally by our 40+ year establishment. We are extremely happy to advise that further to the food inspector's testing, our chicken base is actually gluten-free, contrary to what we originally believed. Also, it has been further confirmed by the inspection that there are no elements of gluten in our salad dressing (oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, pepper & oregano). Accordingly, we will be updating our allergy constraints by removing the chicken base from the gluten allergies category and it will be listed as a gluten-free option going forward. However, we are still very sad to read that we did not meet your expectations during your last visit in terms of service. This is not a typical experience (30 to 60 minutes wait maximum during rush hour) as we serve thousands of customers every year. What you describe in your review is totally unacceptable and we will ensure that your comments are taken seriously and that this experience is not repeated. Déception sur toute la ligne. Nous avons attendu nos plats pendant 2h15 les plats n'étaient pas chaud il y avait des erreurs dans notre commande & le serveur a chicaner ma grand mère. Vraiment le pire service que j'ai vu! La maison grecque a coté vaut vraiment + la peine
Je suis allée pour un dîner en famille & opter pour la table hôte. L'accueil & l'ambiance est familiale. Les soupes au poulet & aux lentilles sont crémeuses, un vrai délice. Le filet mignon est tendre & juteuse ainsi que la brochette de poulet/crevettes. Bonne portion! Il y a un choix de 3 desserts & le café est assez riche. Si vous voulez plus d'éclairage, vous pourriez demander l'arriière du restaurant donc la salle est vitrée ou encore dans la cour. À venir!
Problems at Panos
Let me start by saying I've been going to, & loving Panos for over 30-years.
Not sure what's happening at Panos, but they seem to have lost their way when it comes to customer service. The food is as good & dependable as ever, no issue there. However, dining out is about the total experience, & poor service can make or break an evening/outing. I was there today, with a couple of family members, & the service was beyond poor. I'm not sure if we got them on an off day or if they were short staff, but regardless, this is a service industry & service should be king. I'm confident this would never have happened when the day-to-day operations were under the delicate & professional touch of Mrs. Panos.
Our waiter was efficient when it was time to take our order & provide our meals, but he was no where to be found in between. When we ask if we could have more water, we were told, « can you wait 5-minutes, I'm busy with other tables ». We found that an unusual comment, but thought we would be patient. We tried to obtain assistance from another waiter, but he barked at us without much consideration. About one half hour later, our waiter returned with the bill.
You never want the judge a restaurant based on one poor service experience, but I sense my beloved Panos is slipping when it comes to service.
I hope they find their way & get things back on track.
In the meantime, I'll spend my dining dollars elsewhere.
