Le Dej is widely celebrated as a vibrant and welcoming addition to the Laval breakfast scene, praised for its unique, creative menu that features high quality, fresh, and often locally sourced ingredients. Guests frequently highlight the exceptional, attentive service provided by the staff and owners, who create a warm and professional atmosphere in a beautifully decorated, clean, and modern space. While most patrons are delighted by the generous portions and flavorful, healthy options like the brisket and breakfast tacos, the restaurant is recognized as a standout destination that offers a refreshing alternative to traditional breakfast chains, making it a highly recommended choice for families, friends, and anyone seeking a top notch morning dining experience.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast experience! The food was fresh, delicious, & beautifully prepared, with generous portions & great presentation. The service was friendly, fast, & welcoming, & the atmosphere was warm & comfortable. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Definitely one of the best breakfast spots around-I highly recommend it & will definitely be coming back! 🍳🥞☕?
I visited Le Déj for Sunday afternoon brunch in July, about four months after they opened, & really enjoyed discovering a newer family-oriented breakfast spot in Laval.
The restaurant is bright & colourful with fun decor, blue booths, yellow chairs, & a huge mural that immediately catches your attention. The owner, Voula, was also sooo sweet & took the time to tell us more about the thought they put into their food.
I really liked the Eggs Benedict with premium-cut beef brisket, served on a sourdough English muffin made by a local bakery. Everything tasted fresh & on the healthier, lightly seasoned side, but they have pretty much every condiment you could need on the table if you want to add a little more flavour yourself.
Voula explained that they don't use seed oils, only extra virgin olive oil & avocado oil, & there isn't even a deep fryer in the kitchen. She also told us they receive fresh deliveries every two days & use ingredients from local farms when possible, which I really appreciated.
Overall, Le Déj feels like a great option for families or anyone looking for a fresh, lighter take on breakfast & brunch in Laval. I'd happily come back & try more of the menu!
First time visit. I was greeted & served by one of the 2 owners, Voula. She greeted me in the parking lot by happenstance & yelled out'come try our food' when she went out to give a client something he had left behind.
(I was initially sitting in my car in the parking lot taking a call..)
I went in. Asked for her recommendation. Loved the food. Loved the service. The place was nice, simple but CLEAN & very welcoming. I took the burger brisket dish as per Voula's recommendation. The burger comes thin slices of brisket & topped with an egg, fried mushrooms, caramelized onions & some finely chopped fresh/raw tomatoes... I mean the combo was amazing & you taste every ingredient in each bite.
The plate itself was well laid out: the burger, some cubed potatoes an adequate amount of cheese & garnished with fresh cut tomatoes, red onions, bacons....& a sauce that just tied itnall together. It wasn't too much & wasn't little either.. it was just yummy!!
Service was fast, Voula, the host/owner, was amazing with the service, the knowledge of the ingredients & a great smile.. I won't lie. 😉.
NOTE: No seed oils. Ingredients as HEALTHY & as ORGANIC as possible.
Go try the food for yourself & you will NOT be dissapointed. (p.s. no affiliation with resto/owners -just a free honest to goodness review)
What a fantastic addition to Laval! Le Déj has only been open for about five months, but it's already one of the nicest breakfast experiences I've had.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a warm, fresh, & welcoming atmosphere. You can tell the owner has put a lot of thought into every detail. It's the little touches that make the experience stand out-my glass of milk came with a fresh strawberry & pieces of chocolate, & the cold drinks are served in charming vintage-style glasses, beautifully garnished with fresh strawberries. It really elevates the whole breakfast experience.
The menu is creative & offers dishes you don't typically find at a traditional breakfast restaurant. I had the shakshuka, & it was absolutely delicious. The flavors, spices, & homemade taste were perfectly balanced. My friends also had beautifully presented dishes & were equally impressed with both the quality & the flavors.
I also appreciated that the menu is available by QR code-simple, modern, & practical.
One thing I really enjoyed was the atmosphere. The restaurant was still relatively quiet, which I personally love. It's the perfect place if you're looking for a peaceful breakfast in a cozy, fresh setting. I have a feeling that won't last long, though. Once more people discover this place, I'm sure it will become very popular.
Located in the former Adonis location on Curé-Labelle, Le Déj is definitely a restaurant I'll be returning to. Highly recommended!
Super bon restau! Qualité supérieure d'ingrédients. Service impeccable. No seed oils. Everything is made fresh in house. My new favorite breakfast spot in Laval.
A unique breakfast joint my whole family loved. The ingredients are hand picked with care & everything was cooked to perfection. A welcome breath of fresh air in an industry overwhelmed by franchises & repetitive menus.
The food is really good. For a breakfast place, nothing is heavy, everything is fresh with a mediterranean twist. It is one if not the best service I have ever had at any restaurant. Portions are generous & the prices fair.
The lady in charge of the dining room is wonderful! Both time I went the restaurant was almost empty, which is good for us as guests, but I would prefer for the restaurant to be full so that everyone can enjoy this wonderful new spot.
The only negative point is the music: it is too loud & the style of music is not at all what I like, especially when brunching.
