I visited Le Déj for Sunday afternoon brunch in July, about four months after they opened, & really enjoyed discovering a newer family-oriented breakfast spot in Laval.
The restaurant is bright & colourful with fun decor, blue booths, yellow chairs, & a huge mural that immediately catches your attention. The owner, Voula, was also sooo sweet & took the time to tell us more about the thought they put into their food.
I really liked the Eggs Benedict with premium-cut beef brisket, served on a sourdough English muffin made by a local bakery. Everything tasted fresh & on the healthier, lightly seasoned side, but they have pretty much every condiment you could need on the table if you want to add a little more flavour yourself.
Voula explained that they don't use seed oils, only extra virgin olive oil & avocado oil, & there isn't even a deep fryer in the kitchen. She also told us they receive fresh deliveries every two days & use ingredients from local farms when possible, which I really appreciated.
Overall, Le Déj feels like a great option for families or anyone looking for a fresh, lighter take on breakfast & brunch in Laval. I'd happily come back & try more of the menu!
Une expérience 10/10 du début à la fin ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux & attentionné. La décoration du restaurant est absolument magnifique. Le style pop art est superbement réalisé, avec des couleurs vibrantes & un immense mur peint à la main qui apporte une ambiance unique & pleine de personnalité.
Le menu déjeuner est varié & offre un excellent choix pour tous les goûts. J'ai choisi le déjeuner complet avec les trois choix viandes, le pain campagnard, la demi-gaufre & la crêpe, & tout était absolument délicieux. Les fruits & les petits fruits étaient d'une fraîcheur remarquable, ce qui fait toute la différence.
Un autre gros point fort : tout est cuisiné avec de l'huile d'olive. Les plats sont savoureux sans être lourds ou graisseux. J'ai aussi accompagné mon repas d'un thé matcha préparé avec du thé matcha biologique, & c'était excellent.
On sent que chaque détail a été soigneusement pensé, autant dans la présentation des plats que dans l'ambiance & le service. Une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter & où je reviendrai avec plaisir !
What a fantastic addition to Laval! Le Déj has only been open for about five months, but it's already one of the nicest breakfast experiences I've had.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a warm, fresh, & welcoming atmosphere. You can tell the owner has put a lot of thought into every detail. It's the little touches that make the experience stand out-my glass of milk came with a fresh strawberry & pieces of chocolate, & the cold drinks are served in charming vintage-style glasses, beautifully garnished with fresh strawberries. It really elevates the whole breakfast experience.
The menu is creative & offers dishes you don't typically find at a traditional breakfast restaurant. I had the shakshuka, & it was absolutely delicious. The flavors, spices, & homemade taste were perfectly balanced. My friends also had beautifully presented dishes & were equally impressed with both the quality & the flavors.
I also appreciated that the menu is available by QR code-simple, modern, & practical.
One thing I really enjoyed was the atmosphere. The restaurant was still relatively quiet, which I personally love. It's the perfect place if you're looking for a peaceful breakfast in a cozy, fresh setting. I have a feeling that won't last long, though. Once more people discover this place, I'm sure it will become very popular.
Located in the former Adonis location on Curé-Labelle, Le Déj is definitely a restaurant I'll be returning to. Highly recommended!

C'était ma première expérience à ce restaurant. Je suis venue avec mon copain & mon fils. Excellent service, beau décor, la nourriture était vraiment bonne (Le croissant). C'est également très propre.
Merci aux serveuses, vraiment gentilles. Une d'elles a offert des crayons à mon fils pour qu'il puisse dessiner. J'apprécie beaucoup! Bon succès à vous!
On a adorer & on y retourneras c'était délicieux & frais & le décor urbain rajoute une touche agréable au resto très agréable pour se remonter d'une semaine achalandé ambiance joyeuse & agréable
Good food, quality products. Even though it took a little while to receive our order, we can tell it was made with quality products & not fast food. It was totally worth the wait. Very well decorated & cozy atmosphere. The server communicates very well in both French & English. Excellent service.
Hidden gem in Laval. We received a very warm welcome the moment we entered this restaurant. Clean, spacious & very well decorated space. The food was so good, everything we tried was exceptional. I really cant wait to go back & try other menu items.
