The taste of the food is pretty good ! Price for the portion is bit expensive but the way they plate it was very cool!! We really enjoy the special drink they had 🫶 I like the idea that they have the water we can serves ourselves! However, the cup glass is not smooth on the border & can cut your skin so be careful when drinking it. We went there in a bit cold slight rainy weather that day, I wish they had a inside place to sit but it's okay! Overall, It feel like more a snack than a lunch for us but it was a fun experience to try at this place & service was awesome !!💕
The food is awesome. I little long to have it but it is worth the wait. I will come back.
Spicy salmon Sushi press was warm & delicious 🤤 strawberry grenadine juice was okay! Mango vanilla ice cream was good
Great service lady was quite welcoming & polite. Was a little bit disappointed by choices on the menu an also the taste of food. The ice cream however is a 10/10. Menu should also have pictures, it really helps, Japanese name of the dish doesn't mean much to most & just having a written list of the ingredient doesn't help.
I was so excited to try this new place as ever since the ice cream shop that used to be at the castle closed, I wondered what/who would take over that place. I only had ice cream as I already had dinner but it was perfect after a hot day. Very light (tasted like frozen yogurt) & not too sweet. I can only imagine how it complements the donburi ansd oshizushi. I'll definitely come back to eat the main dishes. I was also glad to see how they paid hommage with the ice cream & kept the initial vibe of this iconic pink & blue castle.
It's good! But the spicy mayo is a bit too spicy plus added jalapeno. Maybe make it less spicy & put more salmon & torch it longer 😁
Everything was delicious & very fairly priced for the quality. Original flavours & friendly service as well :)
I was sad when the ice cream shop that was previously at this pink & blue castle closed down. It was an institution for years & many in the neighbourhood were afraid that the next owner would tear down the castle. Happy to see that Château Maneki not only kept the original look of the place, they added a few modern touches as well to give this place a very cool vibe. The menu is very interesting & different from many other run-of-the-mill sushi shops, with oshizushi (pressed sushi), donburi & tartare. For our first visit, we took the sake truffle oshizushi & the maneki classique tartare. The Sake Truffle was very flavourful, quite spicy, & filling even for my husband! The tartare was just also perfectly spicy & came with tooons of crispy taro chips which I love. We found the prices to be quite reasonable. Looking forward to coming back & eating on their little terrasse. The place was a little busy even for a wednesday lunch, so do expect a bit of wait for your food during rush hour as they are recently opened!
We chose three kind of sushi (salmon, tuna & eel) & a salmon tartare. They were all excellent with fresh ingredients. Will be back again. Congrats to the team!!
Sushi in a Pink Castle?! Yes, please! We showed on opening day to dine like colorful royalty. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, as long lines soon formed (but we beat that by going at noon 😅). We enjoyed some excellent flambéed oshizushi (pressed sushi) in the sun on their terrasse, jalapeno salmon donburi, & a delicious mocktail (alcohol license coming soon) in the cutest toad-shaped cup. They also have a rotating flavor of ice cream, & we're glad to see it still being served from that building. For now, they offer takeout or outdoor dining, but there are plans for a dining room on the second floor come winter, which we will be sure to visit again!
