Since Le Carre is attached to a hotel, I expected a corporate style restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised to see they arent afraid to serve good food with an interesting twist.
The calamari & salad were solid starters, & the pea & leek soup was fantastic. The sea bass was quite impressive with a lot of sour notes-almost too much but I appreciate the unique flavor. They nicely split the octopus for us. The streak was tender & I highly recommend the duck pasta.
Desserts were nicely plated & garnished: I wasnt sure what to expect with the brownie but it was rather crispy & elegantly plated. The creme brulee was nice & thin & came out flaming.
Service was good throughout the night, & the interior is small but elegant.
I feel like I died & went to heaven!! Upon entering, I knew this was going to be a dining experience like no other!! The ambience & decor was tasteful, modern, beautifully decorated & very elegant! I love the turquoise wall & the gold finishes!
The menu was extensive, I would have picked everything on the menu (as they all sounded delicious)!!
We started off with cocktails, which were garnished & presented so beautifully!!
We had the Scallops ceviche, the burrata & the beef tartare...OMG!!! Soooo pleasing to the eye, & palate; delicious!!
My main was the fresh pasta with duck confit (first time having duck confit)...I was in food HEAVEN!!! So savoury, so delicious, so creamy, the pasta was fresh & cooked to al dente; the peas were sweet & the cream was flavored beautifully!! so tasty, so yummy!!
The service was impeccable; very attentive, & efficient! This dinner was an absolute pleasure! I just wish I could go there every night (however, I had to come back to Toronto! :(

This place really surprised us. The menu seemed very mundane but what you were given was high quality ingredients cooked very well.
Started with the brussel sprouts & calamari. The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection with poached pears with the natural flavor coming out in each bite. The calamari was some of the most crispy bites we've ever had.
Our mains included seafood risotto, lamb shoulder, hanger steak & cod fish & chips. Lamb shoulder hands down the best of the bunch. Tender moist & delicious flavor. Seafood risotto was full of textures & flavor. Fish & chips had a wonderful slaw topped with caviar. Hanger steak was cooked to perfection medium rare with a wonderful char. Flavors were all seasoned & exquisite without being over powered.
Dessert included a lemon pie & cream brûlée. Lemon pie was very different a worth a try & the crème brûlée was probably the most plain but presentation was gorgeous.
We recommend reservations as seats were limited & we lucked out getting a seat. Service was spot on & attentive. Definitely recommend this place.

now to the food… this food was the greatest thing in the past 12 months. the best thing were the incredible codballs. the crunchiness & flavor combined with sauce & sour cream was truly divine. criminally underrated. check this restaurant out NOW.

Last night, we had the most incredible dining experience at Le Carré in Montreal. The ambiance was chic yet inviting, perfect for a night of indulgence. The evening started with an exceptional dish featuring grilled octopus served over roasted potatoes & a refreshing yogurt-based sauce. The flavors were beautifully balanced, with a smoky touch from the octopus & a light tang from the sauce. We also had a creamy pasta dish that paired wonderfully with our glass of red wine. Speaking of wine, Le Carré's selection was delightful. The rich red we chose enhanced every bite of our meal. As we toasted to a great evening, the warm, stylish atmosphere of the restaurant added to the magic of the night. Le Carré is a gem for anyone visiting Montreal who appreciates fine dining.

The staff were attentive, friendly, & made sure that every detail was perfect throughout our meal. Special thanks to Alex & Illois for being so kind & helpful - your service truly elevated our evening & made the birthday surprise dinner an amazing experience for our team. The food was absolutely amazing, each dish crafted with care & bursting with flavor. We could tell that a lot of thought went into both the ingredients & presentation. My personal favorite was the Saffron Risotto & Seared scallops, but everything we tried was veryyy delicious. A heartfelt thank you to Chef & the kitchen team for making such a memorable meal. We will definitely be back & recommend Le Carré restaurant to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Montreal!

Have had the pleasure of dining here a few times & I always look forward to returning. Dishes are innovative, flavorful, & with beautiful presentation. Servers are knowledgeable & genuinely attentive. Atmosphere is intimate & comfortable. Truly a wonderful place all around. It hits the mark for fine dining without being pretentious. Well done le Carré.
I recently dined at Le Carre & had a delightful experience. The quality of the food was exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavor & prepared to perfection. The presentation was equally impressive, showcasing a true culinary artistry that made each plate a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. However, I did find the portion sizes to be on the smaller side. While the taste & presentation were top-notch, the quantity left me wanting a bit more. Despite this, the overall dining experience was very enjoyable, & I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a high-quality meal with beautiful presentation.
We stumbled upon this cute restaurant on the bottom floor of our hotel. Very unassuming at first but once you step in the atmosphere is great but the food was so enjoyable. Real value for your money. The dishes were full of fresh flavor & very filling. The cocktails were created with intention making every sip tasty. We plan to return on our next trip.
Wow, what an experience! I had the great fortune to attend a private dinner here & it was absolutely fantastic! They welcomed us with open arms & catered to our special requests. Jeff, the bartender, is creative & skilled -- I recommend giving the cocktail menu a try. The food was impeccable, from plating to taste, from apps to dessert -- every bite was a burst of flavor. Service was top notch, this group is at the top of their game. Try the smoked salmon, the cod, the chicken, & the coconut pannacotta. An absolute must on any dining list!!
