Visited in the summer of 2025, had an amazing meal. Even the starter bread & butter was such a good combination. Highlight's from the main included the duck confit pasta, the sauce was rich & lots of depth to the dish. Dessert was a dish that included ice cream & it was flat out best vanilla ice cream ever, so dense & smooth tasting. Overall, highly recommend!
Since Le Carre is attached to a hotel, I expected a corporate style restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised to see they arent afraid to serve good food with an interesting twist.
The calamari & salad were solid starters, & the pea & leek soup was fantastic. The sea bass was quite impressive with a lot of sour notes-almost too much but I appreciate the unique flavor. They nicely split the octopus for us. The streak was tender & I highly recommend the duck pasta.
Desserts were nicely plated & garnished: I wasnt sure what to expect with the brownie but it was rather crispy & elegantly plated. The creme brulee was nice & thin & came out flaming.
Service was good throughout the night, & the interior is small but elegant.

I feel like I died & went to heaven!! Upon entering, I knew this was going to be a dining experience like no other!! The ambience & decor was tasteful, modern, beautifully decorated & very elegant! I love the turquoise wall & the gold finishes!
The menu was extensive, I would have picked everything on the menu (as they all sounded delicious)!!
We started off with cocktails, which were garnished & presented so beautifully!!
We had the Scallops ceviche, the burrata & the beef tartare...OMG!!! Soooo pleasing to the eye, & palate; delicious!!
My main was the fresh pasta with duck confit (first time having duck confit)...I was in food HEAVEN!!! So savoury, so delicious, so creamy, the pasta was fresh & cooked to al dente; the peas were sweet & the cream was flavored beautifully!! so tasty, so yummy!!
The service was impeccable; very attentive, & efficient! This dinner was an absolute pleasure! I just wish I could go there every night (however, I had to come back to Toronto! :(
Went to Le Carré for lunch with a friend. It was a first for both of us & we were wowed with every dish!
Not only was the food delicious, but the extra touches on the presentation made everything that much more enjoyable. We started with the Grilled Halloumi, followed by the Duck Confit Pasta & Seared Gnocchi & Mushrooms, all generous portions of perfection on a plate. For dessert we went with the Amaretto Mascarpone & Crème Brulée, both amazing.
My friend & I reserved for lunch at Le Carré & what a treat it was. Food wise we shared the grilled Halloumi entrée, had different pasta dishes & dessert. Portions were good enough, well presented & simply delicious.
The service was prompt, attentive & polite. We truly discovered a little gem.
Went for dinner with my mom & we ordered the lamb & duck confit pasta per recommendation. The duck confit pasta was heavenly & very filling! The lamb was super tender & I loved the baba ganoush but I felt the sauces were a bit too sweet so the plate lacked balance. The veggies were glazed too so there were too many sweet things. Otherwise, the lamb itself was so good. Their salad is also amazing, I recommend it. My mom & I did not get drinks, shared a salad & shared dessert, so it came to only $60 per person & we were very full & satisfied. We will be back to try other dishes!!

I am shocked by the 4.7 review( as of July 2025), I did not feel like the food was up to expectations. Most of the table took the duck pasta because the waiter recommended it, it was a good 6/10. Did not taste like any duck was in it & the ingredients were particular… Honestly so disappointing. The service was really just okay, nothing special. The restaurant is very small, so you probably need a reservation.
Last night, we had the most incredible dining experience at Le Carré in Montreal. The ambiance was chic yet inviting, perfect for a night of indulgence. The evening started with an exceptional dish featuring grilled octopus served over roasted potatoes & a refreshing yogurt-based sauce. The flavors were beautifully balanced, with a smoky touch from the octopus & a light tang from the sauce. We also had a creamy pasta dish that paired wonderfully with our glass of red wine. Speaking of wine, Le Carré's selection was delightful. The rich red we chose enhanced every bite of our meal. As we toasted to a great evening, the warm, stylish atmosphere of the restaurant added to the magic of the night. Le Carré is a gem for anyone visiting Montreal who appreciates fine dining.

We ordered the broccoli for an appetizer & duck pasta & lamb for mains. Everything was beautifully plated & delicious. Service was attentive. Very happy with our meal.
This is a small dining room with friendly & attentive service. The food is amazing, & I don't say that often. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The duck confit pasta is a generous portion of rich, meaty, & creamy fresh pasta that I want to eat over & over again. The arancini is large & crispy. The brownie was, well, perfect. Served slightly warm, it had a crackly top with the perfect balance between fudgy & cakey. Because it is a small space, guests are welcomed by being offered tables that they must vacate within 90 minutes, which is a tad annoying when that is the first experience you get from this restaurant. We were able to select a table that they said did not have a "time limit", however. I look forward to going back!
Such a hidden jam with amazing food & great service. We had a beef carpaccio & shrimp form starters. The carpaccio was amazing & I like it slightly better than shrimp. For the mains we followed our waiter recommendation & went with swordfish tataki & duck pasta. Both dishes were amazing. We were not able to decide the winner, so I would recommend take both.
For our Valentine's dinner, we chose this restaurant, & while the experience was decent overall, it didn't quite reach the level of exceptional. The food, including pasta, salad, & wagyu carpaccio, was satisfactory, but none stood out as truly exceptional. You won't be disappointed, but you won't be wowed either. However, considering the reasonable prices for the quality of food served, it's still worth a visit.
