Lovely aesthetic & great service. Can spend hours there working on your system or just sipping coffee & read a book. Had a great time & would definitely visit again.View more
Really cute cafe with great coffee. The staff are really nice. Also pet friendly.View more
Great coffee. Love the latte art! If youre lucky, you have an experienced barista capable to.View more
One of my fave local cafés in the city! I've been coming here for years & their espresso always hits the spot.
Once in a while I try their pastries, sometimes they're fresh, sometimes not. This time I grabbed a s'more cookie for my partner & it was so dry & very hard, definitely not fresh. Kinda bummed I spent around $5 on that.
Coffee's still great, but their pastries are hit or miss, so I'll probably won't buy their pastries again in the future.View more
Really nice cafe. Quite spacious with plenty of seats choices (indoor & outdoor), wifi, & food as well as coffee drink choices. I ordered an iced chai with soy milk & it was slightly sweet but still had a spice kick to it for those that prefer spicier chai. Price is a bit high as it cost $8 & they charge 0.70 for vegetable milks. Next time I'll just bring my own milk in the cup or but one across the street at the market for cheaper. Great service & atmosphere. Highly recommend!View more
Really nice place & the breakfast was solid, good coffee too!View more
Try to aim for non-rush hours to get your food on time. The coffee is delicious.View more
Staff is super nice.
Coffee is good but it is served warm, not even warm enough, not hot; just warm. The kind you can drink in one sip, the one you wouldn't drink after 10 minutes.
Place is cozy. Music is good.View more
The best coffee shop in Côte-des-neiges, the vibes are great, decor is nice, coffe is top notch. Does tend to get crowded from time to time. Stopped for coffee & study sessions plenty of times but only ate there once, food is good & relatively affordable. Would recommend!View more
Never stop coming by since my very first sip a month ago. Their foods, coffee & the atmosphere are all lovely & intoxicating. Oh, & definitely try their cakes when you're there.View more
I recently visited the Caravane Café &, overall, my experience was fine, though not particularly remarkable. The café has a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that instantly makes you feel comfortable as soon as you step inside. It's tucked in a corner of the neighborhood, with a modest yet charming décor-think wooden tables, soft lighting, & a few plants scattered around, which give it a homey, welcoming vibe. There's plenty of natural light, making it a pleasant spot to hang out, read, or do some work. It's the kind of place you could easily lose track of time in. The service was friendly, which I always appreciate, but it was a bit slower than I anticipated. The staff seemed a little distracted, & it took quite a while for my order to be ready, even though the café wasn't particularly busy at the time. There were a few other customers around, but nothing that should have caused the delay. It wasn't a huge issue, but if you're in a rush, it might be something to consider. That said, when my order did arrive, the staff was kind & apologetic about the wait, which helped soften the experience. For my order, I went with a cappuccino & a croissant, two staples I like to judge a café by. The cappuccino was decent, though not quite up to par with what I was hoping for. The coffee itself was smooth & well-prepared, but it lacked the depth & richness I expect from a good cappuccino. The flavor was on the milder side-more milk-forward than the bold espresso taste I enjoy. It was definitely drinkable, just a little underwhelming, especially since I was hoping for something with a bit more punch. As for the croissant, it was fresh but not exceptional. It had a nice, golden exterior, though the texture inside was a bit denser than I'd prefer. A little more flakiness & a bit more butter would have made a big difference in elevating the pastry. Still, it wasn't bad-it was just not the standout treat I was hoping for. I'd also noticed a variety of other pastries on display, so I'm curious to try something different next time, but I can't say the croissant wowed me. The vibe of the place is definitely one of its strong points, & it's clear that the café is designed with comfort in mind. The seating is varied-there are a few tables for two, larger ones for groups, & even a small counter area near the window, ideal for solo visitors who want to watch the world go by. The music playing in the background was unobtrusive, & the overall noise level was low enough to make it a perfect environment for reading, chatting, or getting some work done. There's also a small selection of books & magazines available, which adds to the chill, low-key atmosphere. I did notice that there's a small selection of specialty drinks & snacks that could be worth checking out. I didn't try them on this visit, but the menu looked interesting. There's also a decent variety of teas & a few vegan options, which could be appealing for people with dietary restrictions. While my visit was generally pleasant, there's a feeling that Caravane Café is still finding its groove. It's definitely a café I'd visit again if I'm in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's a comfortable, easy-going spot, but it doesn't quite have that "wow" factor that would make it stand out in a city full of great coffee shops. If you're just looking for a quiet place to relax or need a break from the hustle & bustle, this could be a good spot. But if you're a serious coffee lover or have high expectations for your pastries, you might leave feeling like there are better options elsewhere.View more
Staff is very nice & friendly. They have a kind & very welcoming vibe. The food is sadly disappointing & quite pricey. I pad $47 for two sandwiches & two drinks (including tax & tip). At my local cafe, I usually pay $30 for the same. I thought the sandwich would come with a small side at that price, but it does not. Coffee is good. If I come back it would probably be just for the coffee but definitely not the food.View more
The experience at the cafe was a bit of a mixed bag. The staff were friendly & welcoming, which was a positive aspect. However, the food left much to be desired. The carrot cake was disappointing as it seemed frozen & thawed, resulting in a strange texture & taste. The muffin was okay, but the cappuccino was too light & seemed like a cup of milk rather than coffee. On the other hand, the ice matcha latte was decent. The cafe had a cute decor, but the lack of air conditioning & proper ventilation made it uncomfortably hot & humid. The limited space & cramped atmosphere were also notable downsides. Overall, the experience was okay, but it certainly had its drawbacks.View more
View more
This is an amazing place to grab a sandwich & coffee. We were lucky to find a table because I could see a lot of students & other folks working. The food itself was okay. Won't recommend the Mama Vege sandwich. The coffee was okay, as was the croissant. Would probably come back when the patio is open!View more
Very good place to relax & have a coffee & chit chat & also people are kindView more
Such a cozy place to sit with a coffee & just absorb the atmosphere. Their pistachio croissant is a must-try!View more
The ambiance was nice, but the espresso I ordered was somehow both dull & dreadful. I suspect that a pressurized portafilter was used. Although I am aware I am demanding, I do not think it is okay for a 3.75$ espresso. Caravane Café also sells bags of coffee. Their bigger size is 15$/500gr. I would not trust that the producers are paid a fair price at 30$/kg. Caravane Café does not use specialty coffee. This place is for fans of cafes (the establishment), not for fans of coffee (the drink). If one wants better coffee, they should head down to Brûlerie Urbaine on Côte-des-Neiges.View more
This cafe is an oasis! It offers exceptional coffee, tea & the desserts. The staff & the atmosphere are very welcoming.. it's a delightful retreat!View more
One of the few places that I can recommend, good service, delicious tea, coffee & desserts. The prices are reasonable & worth the money. If you want to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of comfort & good service... Then you will be interested in this place.)View more
Very cute cafe, good vibe & tasty pastries. A good place to grab some coffee after a meal or a drink.View more
Food & coffee weren't anything mindblowingly special or unique but the atmosphere was warm & rustic & the late opening hours were perfect when looking for a place to sit with my drawing tablet on a cold winter's night.View more
Coffee is good prices are reasonable & they have maybe the best vegan brownies I've had. But please clean your shelves & other corners of the cafe it's full of dust & doesn't look like it has been cleaned for weeksView more
Very nice place to go. The food is not amazing, but it is very good, which I greatly appreciate. I also read some comments saying the coffee is not that good, so I was exceptic to buy it, but I did & I am glad to have done it. It was actually very good.
The environment is nice but too tight to work, if you think on doing that; specially on a Sunday like today. Just go to relax & enjoy the food & coffee :)View more
More of a food place then coffee, food recommended yes but coffee no. Asked for a latte & got a cup of milk... Coffee machine is dirty. Wont go back for cafeine . Atmosphere is very nice thoView more
Service can be a little slow, but the coffee & food are delicious.View more
$30 for a 1 iced chai, 1 iced coffee (decent, but cold brew was pretty bitter) & 2 croissants (burnt). 😶 Almost impossible to sit outside where there was clearly a wasp nest, or inside where tables were packed together. The bathroom was quite dirty, & generally seemed pretty run down. Service was good, food was decent, but atmosphere was bad. Easy suggestions: remove the wasps net, clean the bathroom & a fresh coat of paint.View more
