Absolute favorite place to grab a weekend brunch. Montreal has some great cafes, but Magda holds a special place in my heart.
Maybe it's because I live (& worked) nearby, & we have limited options for places with such warmth & charm. Maybe it's because I know how cool the owner & their family are & how they contribute in strengthening the community & making LaSalle a more vibrant place to live.
Or maybe I'm just blown away everytime I eat here, the bursting flavors in every dish never failing to impress my taste buds.

Notre café préféré à Montréal! Les cafés y sont toujours très bon & le personnel sympathique & attentionné. Les sandwichs sont excellents & copieux. Nous apprécions l'ambiance chaleureuse & conviviale. On sent vraiment le désir & l'effort des propriétaires d'en faire un lieu de rassemblement pour les habitants du quartier.
We always stop here for a coffee or tea after walking around the neighbourhood. The service is warm, the place has a really cozy vibe, & the drinks are delicious!

J'adore ce café, j'y vais souvent ! Il y a vraiment de tout : café, thé, matcha, smoothies & plus encore. Les repas sont tellement bons & les prix sont super aussi. Ils offrent même une carte de fidélité après le 10e achat, c'est gratuit.
J'y vais pour étudier/ travailler sur mon ordi...& prendre un petit thé déjeuner avec des amis. L'endroit est super cute, propre & bien décoré, avec une petite musique d'ambiance. L'ambiance est cozy & ce n'est pas bruyant, ce qui est parfait pour relaxer , parler ou se concentrer. En plus, ils vont bientôt avoir une terrasse dehors… wow !

Lovely neighborhood café with a great atmosphere, simple yet delicious menu. The chai & the leeks quiche they have this week were so good, I might come back just for that! Friendly staff, everyone walks in & out of that place with a smile on their face. Quickly becoming a favourite spot for my daughter & I.

Superbe endroit pour venir prendre un bon café ou bien de bon petit repas!!! Très bonne ambiance & les employées sont chaleureuses. Parfaite endroit pour venir étudier ou bien pour prendre un café & se promener sur le bord du fleuve. Je recommande!!!!
I love Magda Cafe so much. It's the perfect little study spot. The food, the staff & the atmosphere is super calm & welcoming. I definitely going recommend if you want to get some work done while sipping a matcha! 🍵💻
A cosy, fun, & family-friendly cafe that makes you feel like you're part of the family straight when you come in. The brunch & coffee were tasty, & the natural wine selection was a nice surprise - with a great range of selection & decent price (finally!)! Excellent price/value/portion ratio overall! Café Magda, c'est une de ces petites perles qu'on a presque envie de garder juste pour soi. Le café est excellent, les pâtisseries sont fraîches & difficiles à résister, & le personnel fait vraiment tout pour que tu te sentes le bienvenu. Café Magda is one of those little gems you almost don't want to share. The coffee is excellent, the pastries are fresh & hard to resist, & the staff genuinely go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It has that perfect neighborhood vibe-warm, relaxed, & just the right amount of buzz. Highly recommend!
Café Magda m'a agréablement surpris ! Je m'y retrouve régulièrement avec ma conjointe ou des amis. L'ambiance est toujours agréable, & le service est chaleureux.
La propriétaire est passionnée & ça se ressent - elle partage sa bonne humeur dans tout le café, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus plaisante. C'est aussi un super endroit pour venir avec un ordinateur portable.
Ce n'est pas exactement le style de café que je préfère (je suis plus café corsé à l'italienne que les cafés plus doux & veloutés comme ceux offerts ici, avec des grains d'Amérique du Sud), mais la qualité est indéniable.
Il y a des options pour tous, autant végans que carnivores. Les viennoiseries sont très bonnes & toujours fraîches.
Le prix peut monter assez vite, mais ça reste justifié par la qualité. & surtout, il faut absolument essayer leurs lattés de saison (chauds ou froids) - c'est ridiculement bon !

An absolute gem in Lasalle, we needed a cafe like cafe Magda here. The food is delicious, offering vegan options which is amazing (we are dairy free so having vegan pancakes on a menu is such a great thing! :) ) The omelette plate is also very good, I love the bread that comes with the plate, its a perfect mix of sweet & savoury. The latte is very good. I love the atmosphere & the decor here as well, it has a very homey feel. 10/10 recommend, great for sitting down for a meal or a coffee & a snack!
