Had an amazing dinner. Great service very nice atmosphere small quaint little restaurant. Food was amazing. I had the five napkin burger, which was delicious . My wife had the chicken & ribs. The meat was falling off the bone. My daughter had a brisket sandwich & it was very tender & the drinks at the bar were perfect, overall highly recommend.
Good service, nice small place. Generous portions, the 5 napkin burger was excellent. Everybody should try the bruxel sprouts as well. I would really, really LOVE to give this restaurant 5 stars but the ribs we ordered were so dry... Big disappointement
Some of the best Chicken wings I've had in Montreal. The dry rub is absolutely amazing!
The ribs & brisket were both sort of dry & cold. Really Not the best.
Service was amazing, quick & super friendly.
Hadn't had a burger like that in a long time. Our guests had ribs & a pulled pork poutine that looked & tasted outstanding. Highly recommend it.
Nice food, esp the ribs. It is quite a small place so reservation is recommended so as not to be disappointed.
Amazing BBQ. The chicken & rib combo the 100% the way to go. The cocktails were perfectly made, the dessert (bacon brownie!) was delicious, & the service was top notch.
We ordered their baby back ribs full rack, half smoked chicken, beed brisket & buttermilk pie. Everything was absolutely delicious.
The meat was perfectly cooked & incredibly juicy.
fFnd parking can be a bit tricky.
Always a good time when we go. The pulled pork poutine or the ribs never disappoint.
Always amazing every time we go! Probably some of the best ribs in Montreal. Staff is always friendly & service is quick. The pulled pork & ribs are amazing. Unfortunately, I did find the ribs a little overpriced compared to the previous times we visited (56$ for a full rack). Other than that, everything was awesome.
Small cozy restaurant, server was very friendly. We had the 4 rib plate each which was a generous portion of fall off the bone, perfectly smoked ribs with a wonderful sauce. Sides potato salad, Brussels sprouts & coleslaw. Sides were hand prepared & extremely good.
After spending a whole month all over Canada, this is hands down the best smokehouse we ate at. We had a platter with pork ribs, pulled port, smoked chicken, & a dish of salmon. Everything was just perfect. Big portions. Highly recommended.
Had pork ribs, pulled pork side & brisket sandwich. Overall is good, ribs were best. Brisket not my type too dry. Service is nice tho
Smelled disappointment from the second we walked in, or more accurately didn't smell any of the titular boucane. Served tepid water & told no room on terrace in spite of our birthday reservation. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, mine had particles floating in it from what I hope was just a dirty glass for my 14$ single shot of bourbon. Waited another hour for the food, so had plenty of time to appreciate the poorly lit & dirty bathrooms. Eventually were given a seat on the terrace & made to stand there while they cleaned it. Brisket burnt ends as others have said are not burnt or ends or glazed, dry & taste boiled. Chicken dry, underseasoned, & definitely not or poorly smoked (where even is the smoker in that miniscule kitchen), ribs were fine but laughably small, sides underseasoned, BBQ sauce watery & sugary, didn't bother with dessert. Staff were disorganized & management seemed to sit around drinking. All in all a disappointing excuse for a so called smokehouse which it clearly is not, just a mediocre, cramped BBQ joint. Nowhere near worth the money & definitely not worth the ridiculous wait. After working in the industry for many years I know a poorly run place when I see it. Do yourself a favor & hard pass.
Not a fancy place at all, but Food is just plain DELICIOUS! We ordered Ribs, Chicken Wings & Shrimps, all satisfied our taste buds totally! I will definitely come back next time I am in Montreal, & TOTALLY RECOMMEND!
Went for dinner on a Thursday. The restaurant is very small so don't walk in like I did & instead get a reservation! Everything we ate that night was amazing. The brisket sandwich was one of the best I've ever had & the ribs were cooked perfectly as they fell off the bones. The buttercream pie at the end was very satisfying to eat & the perfect way to wrap up a delicious dinner.
Got the butchers platter - ribs were great, chicken was dry, pulled pork was good, sides were okay. It fills a BBQ craving but it's not the best I've had.
I liked : -the Mac n cheese -the poutine -the ribs & the sauce that came with it -the shrimps I didn't like: -the chicken wings (the rub had a strong taste of cinnamon & an overpowering sweetness)
Deliocious BBQ ribs, excellent potato salad & other side dishes. While my dinner guest & I enjoyed our meal in a very comfortable nook at the bar we also had the pleasure of listening to some great rock & alternative music from the 80's & 90's. Would recommend Le Boucan for a quiet date night or family dinner or group of friends out for an extremely well priced & delicious dinner.
We came for the ribs & were not disappointed! Fall off the bone & tender. The BBQ sauce was insane. Highly recommend the potato salad as well! The server was so nice & although she was brand new & still learning she had the greatest personality & for sure will become a great server!
