I understand that prices are up everywhere but I had an old fashioned, nothing fancy, & I paid 20 bucks for literally four sips in my drink. Not acceptable. I think that you can afford putting a little quantity.Voir plus

Behind a black door, there is a brick wall. Once you solve that, you are taken underground to a barely lit, hidden Speakeasy. The ambiance had a mystique to it, a really fun atmosphere for fancy drinks & food. Drinks: totally worth the exorbitant price. They were honestly some of the best mixed & polished cocktails we've had in Montreal. The plus is every drink you get a clue to help solve a murder mystery. That was a fun addition, for sure. But you need all 6 clues to solve it, so 3 people ordering 2 drinks each would be recommended (or hey, go for 6 alone). Food: surprise here was the food open at 11h30 until 2am when we arrived. & although a small menu, damn delicious. The burrata & foccacia were certainly worth it. The plate of potatoes, too, was worth for a midnight snake. Service: server was professional, though he did disappear at times & we waited a while for another drink. Another server brought us the clues & round of drinks, very kind & explained the game. We got shots for solving the murder mystery too, Overall a great time to take friends or on a unique date idea.Voir plus

The best speak easy I've been to! Stumbled upon this speakeasy on a Wednesday night as it was our last night in Montreal. It was fun trying to figure out how to get in. Then we went down a set of steep stairs. We lucked out & around 9:45 there was a burlesque show. It lasted about 10min. Ask for a seat in the stage room to see the show. There's a fun murder mystery game to play. You need to order 6 drinks to solve the game. Drinks & food were delicious! Un moment mémorable. Les cocktails étaient excellents en plus d'être un peu différents de ce dont on a l'habitude, sans compter la présentation qui était toujours à couper le souffle & des prix raisonnables. Le thème du bar en lui-même était aussi extrêmement intéressant & nous avons passé un super moment à essayer de déchiffrer des énigmes. Le staff était adorable & toujours présent. Je recommande cet établissement à 1000%, un des meilleurs bars où j'ai pu aller. (Petit plus pour les nombreuses alternatives de cocktail sans alcool, tout aussi intéressantes que leurs homologues alcoolisés)Voir plus

Sorry, but I found the whole experience a bit disappointing. The brick wall that disguised the front door was cool & fun at first, but once I got passed that, the whole thing felt a bit like a gimmick just to get me inside. Ideally, there should be some amusing follow up that matches the intrigue of the brick walled entrance. Once you get downstairs, there should have been a cool & authentic speakeasy experience that throws us back to the 1930's, but instead we're welcomed to loud pop music, odd service, & mediocre drinks. By the way, there's a hidden brown button on the wall, directly to your left as you walk inside that opens the brick wall door.Voir plus
