Le 409 is a standout Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Old Montreal. From the moment you step in, the ambiance captivates with its chic décor blending Indian & Havana influences. The lighting & overall vibe create a warm & inviting atmosphere, perfect for any occasion, be it a business dinner, a romantic evening, or a casual meal with friends.
The food is consistently impressive. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors, yet leaves you feeling light & satisfied. A personal favorite is the coriander lemonade, a refreshing drink not listed on the menu, but the staff graciously prepares it upon request. This level of personalized service speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.
It's unfortunate that they no longer offer lunch service, as it was a popular spot for my colleagues & I during workdays. However, I understand that operational decisions are influenced by various factors.
In terms of pricing, Le 409 offers excellent value. A typical meal, including a main course with rice, a popadum, & a drink, averages around $45 to $50. Considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, & the impeccable service, it's a reasonable price point.

I had high hopes for Le 409, given its popularity, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the expectation. While the menu was varied, the flavors just didn't hit the mark for me. Some of the dishes were lacking in depth & seasoning, which was disappointing considering the restaurant's reputation.
That said, the service & atmosphere were top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, & made the whole dining experience pleasant. The ambiance also stood out-stylish, cozy, & inviting, which made the meal more enjoyable despite the food falling short.
Ultimately, while the environment & service were fantastic, I've had better Indian food at other places that delivered more in terms of flavor & authenticity.Voir plus

Si vous voulez faire voyager vos papilles gustatif en Inde c'est l'endroit idéal ! La nourriture qui y est servi par un personnel charmant ne vous laissera pas sur votre faim. Tout cela dans une des ambiances les plus plaisantes évidemment.Voir plus
2e visite au 409! Service super attentionné & dédié de notre serveur & de l'hotesse. Le Biryani aux cevettes est incroyable, l'agneau Korma est succulent & tendre le meilleur agneau que je n'ai jamais mangé. Le classique poulet au beurre est un incontournable, n'oubliez pas le pain Naan & bien sur le chutney de Mangue pour un sucré salé parfait! Merci le 409 pour ce festival des saveurs! My husband & I had a lovely dining experience here on a Saturday evening in early April. I made a last minute reservation for 8:30pm. Upon arrival, we had a warm welcome from the host who gave us a lovely table by the window. The restaurant is cool, hip, & chic with a ton of windows & a large bar in the center. Our waiter was professional & courteous. The food came out quickly with our 2 appetizers & 3 mains spaced out perfectly. All dishes were absolutely flavorful & delicious & our specialty cocktails were amazing, as well. I highly recommend!Voir plus

Very friendly waitress! Food was absolutely delicious, with the exception of the Korma (which we switched out for a chana masala which was delicieux) it was very sickly sweet - poulet 65, onion bhaji & the lamb tandoori were a hit. Plus we asked the bartender for a couple surprise us drinks & they perfect!
