I am writing to share a review of a wonderful find in LaSalle, Montréal: Il L'artisan de la pasta. If you're craving Italian comfort food with a truly'at-home' feel, this is a place that quietly wins your heart.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming-with soft lighting, beautiful décor, & service that makes you feel like a guest in someone's home rather than just a customer. The menu features classic Italian favorites prepared with genuine care. Every dish tastes authentic & nostalgic, as if the recipes have been passed down through generations.
The standout, however, is the cheesecake. It is impossibly smooth & creamy, elevated by a delicate orange zest that adds the perfect amount of brightness. It is a truly unforgettable dessert.
While I can be a tough critic, I believe this restaurant deserves a 5-star rating for its exceptional food, beautiful service, & wonderful staff. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
Fantastic! This hidden gem serves up truly authentic Italian cuisine prepared by chef Paolo who takes pride in every carefully crafted dish. What an incredible dining experience! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious - from the starters to the pastas to the dessert, everything was bursting with flavor & perfectly prepared. The service was warm & attentive, & the atmosphere cozy yet lively. A true gem for pasta lovers - can't wait to go back!

Really delicious homemade food! This is fresh Italian pasta done properly. We tried the lunch menu, which was excellent, & it made us curious to come back for supper eventually since that menu has even more variety.
I also have to give a special mention to the bread. The baguette served at the beginning had a crisp coating of toasted flour, giving the entire outer crust such an enjoyable crunch. Inside, the bread was unbelievably soft, moist, & fresh.
Absolutely amazing quality, came in for lunch with my girlfriend & was beyond impressed. I had the squash soup to start (out of this world) followed by the vegetarian pasta option 🍅which was phenomenal. 100% looking forward to coming back for a date night, & the service was warm & accommodating. Thank you very much for the experience!
If you haven't been yet, you MUST go check it out!! Chef is straight from Italy 🇮🇹 & makes the best homemade pasta out there. Along with the pasta his culinary delights will make your palette water from Tuesday to Saturday with his different daily menu featuring pastas, meats, vegetables & potatoes....oh & I almost forgot you cannot leave without trying something sweet!! He makes the best assortments of mini cheesecakes & lemon meringue tartelettes too cute & delicate you won't want to eat then but can't help not too!!! Bravo Paolo & Sandro keep up the good work, just what LaSalle was missing good homemade authentic food!!!

Fresh & delicious menu. The homemade pasta is absolutely incredible. Friendly but professional service. One of the top authentic italian restaurants in Montreal.
Upon entering the restaurant Alexandro greeted us by name & made us feel at home. The decor is clean & warm. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or a night out with friends.
Sevice was on point did not feel rushed did not have to request anything. Alexandro explained the menu in detail & checked in on us periodically throughout the evening.
The food was spectacular
Deconstructed Cesar salad & eggplant involtini stuffed with fior di latte mozzarella & porchetta served with bechamel sauce as entrees.
Tagliatelle with mixed wild mushrooms & fresh artichokes & Ravioli stuffed with lobster served with cherry tomatoes & zucchini as main meal.
Homemade pasta, bread & breadsticks
Cheescake with fresh fruit as dessert.
The gem: it is a bring your own wine, so you can pair your own meal.

I got to say that this Italian little place has good food. Family owned & every week they change their menu. We liked the food service & you feel like home from home with fresh Italian pasta. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, decorated with charming rustic elements that reflect the essence of Italy. Each dish is made with love & care, using ingredients sourced from local farms & markets. The staff is friendly & attentive, always ready to offer recommendations based on seasonal specials. One of our favorites was the handmade lobster ravioli. We where full & never tride there home made cheese cake , next time, Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a special celebration, this place truly captures the heart of Italian cuisine.

I might be one of the last of lasallers to discover this wonderful restaurant, but I can't help but share my experience! Recently, we visited L'artisan de la Pasta for a mini date aka birthday celebration. This charming, family-friendly spot instantly made us feel at home. Our server was incredibly pleasant, adding to the warm atmosphere. I can confidently say that the homemade pasta at L'artisan de la Pasta is simply out of this world! I was so immersed in the delightful flavors of the pasta, fresh bread, & the overall ambiance that I forgot to take photos, which seems to be a common theme among other reviewers too. If you're looking for a cozy place to enjoy authentic Italian pasta, I highly recommend L'artisan de la Pasta. You won't be disappointed!
La nourriture est absolument délicieuse, le service est impéccable, l'ambiance est chaleureuse. Alessandro est très accueillant & passionné, un vrai petit bijou ce restaurant. Je recommande fortement de visiter l'artisan de la pasta!

Our first visit was impeccable from the moment we walked through the door. A warm welcome from Alessandro who went out of his way to find us seating, to Chef Paolo coming to our table before we ordered to thank us for trying his place out. The food was next level... fried scallops, amazing pasta, & desserts. Go & indulge in a culinary treat!
