What an amazing find! A cozy little spot hidden behind a small door & window. We decided to try it close to closing time, & they didn't mind at all.
The prices are very good for the amount & quality of food. The only downside is that the fried chicken portion may seem a bit smaller compared to the combo value, especially since the fried chicken is slightly more expensive. Still, it filled me up regardless.
Extra sauce is around $4, otherwise it may come with just a light seasoning, so if you're trying to save money, I'd recommend ordering a combo. Overall, lots of flavor, generous portions, & a price that's hard to beat!
What a magnificent discovery in the heart of Montreal, a true hidden gem! We had an absolutely perfect evening at Laon.
The ambiance is warm & inviting, perfect for relaxing while discovering authentic flavors. But what truly made our visit exceptional was the service. Our waiter was incredibly kind.
Since we weren't familiar with all the dishes, he took the time to passionately explain how to enjoy our Korean meal the traditional way. It's rare to receive such an attentive & educational welcome!
The food is flavorful, fresh, & beautifully presented. If you're looking for a Korean culinary immersion with high-quality, friendly service, this is the place to go. We will return without hesitation!
Delicious food. I had spicy tofu & everything was so flavorful. Good value.
Very nice small restaurant, very attentive staff. We went mid day & is was not busy, & our food came in 5-10 minutes. I really appreciate how quiet & peaceful it is, a lot of restaurants are too loud to talk in. Very calm & nice here. Bibimbap lacked picked vegetables unfortunately, but everything is very flavorful & good otherwise.
If you're seeking East Asian food in the midst of poutine & burgers this is the place. On my 3rd day in Montreal, this hit the spot for flavor packed comfort meal. We got the jeon (seafood pancake) - so crispy even when we had the last pieces toward the end of the meal, the cheolpan (pork on hot plate) - so saucy & just the perfect spice level, & soondubu jigae (tofu soup) - stayed hot throughout the meal since it's in a stone pot & the flavor wasn't the the typical one from like BCD but still great. Owner also offered vegetable dumplings as service since it was New Year's Eve, the dumplings looked unassuming but they were packed & HOT. The flavors, the temp of the food, oh & the cute vibes of the store really hit. The owner was also super considerate, without asking, he provided cute bowls, extra utensil sets, & extra napkins when we said we were going to share the meal. He had brought each dish out on a serving plate intended for individual consumption but was quick to move the dishes into a shared setup when we said we will share the dishes. Perfection
