Une belle expérience de high tea avec des aliments de qualité sélectionnés avec minutie. I LOVE IT
I brought my girlfriend & my mom to celebrate woman's day. It was the BEST experience I could ask for. & it's truly an experience.
From the moment you enter, the service is top notch, & there is thorough explanations about the tea service, the products you try & the good manners around it. They were kind enough to switch certain food assortment so we can have more variety. Literally, every bite was unique.
Would 100% recommend for bringing partners, family & friends for a high class British tea experience.
My best friend & I hopped on the train to Montreal for a girls' trip… & somehow ended up living our most elegant lives at the most beautiful high tea ever at Lady Porcelaine on rue St. Denis.
Gorgeous china, towers of pastries, the most delicious tea, & a room that looked like it belonged in a romantic movie. We laughed, took way too many photos, & completely embraced our fancy tea-drinking era.
10/10 magical experience. If you're ever in Montreal, this place is an absolute must!! & little tip from us - wear a dress! We didn't know when we went, but it's definitely the kind of place where you'll wish you dressed up a little extra!
My friends & I came here during my bachelorette party & it was incredible!! The whole team was welcoming, exceptionally kind, & created such a special time for us. They offered to take so many pictures for us in various areas, gave us tips on how to smile & pose, gave us fascinators & a crown, & everyone was so happy! On top of the incredible company, the whole experience was phenomenal! The space is beautifully decorated, the food was delicious, & the tea was amazing!! This is such a unique experience & safe to say the best tea experience my friends & I have ever had! They even had a station set up where the bride could write a letter to her future self & sealed it with a wax seal. This truly was an experience that far exceeded any expectations we had!! I HIGHLY recommend anyone come visit, you will be so happy you came!! Thank you to the whole Lady Porcelaine team for their kindness in making this day so special!! :)
Une superbe rencontre, un accueil chaleureux & classy & une nourriture de grande qualité. À vrai dire Lady Porcelaine n'a rien à envier au Chateau Frontenac pour le'Afternoon tea'!! Bravo
We received a gracious welcome. The food was exceptional from savoury to sweet: everything was fresh, the pastries were expertly made, the jam was homemade, & they served proper Devonshire cream. Even the teas were distinctive, with handmade blends thoughtfully paired to each course.
We did not take part in the theatrics on offer, but it was clear that other guests were thoroughly enjoying themselves - dressing up, embracing the experience & having photographs taken.
UNHINGED.
From the moment we walked in, we were lowkey bullied by the restaurant's owner, a self styled pastel girl-boss with a brigerton-coded control kink.
After being scolded pretty intensely to clean our shoes, we were handed out tea hats (mandatory), then whisked away to do a photoshoot (also mandatory). We were instructed to use a china bell to ring, & were refused service if we didn't.
The tea that we were served (without having been given any choice btw) was a pot of blue herbal mix that sort of felt like drinking warm, musky Gatorade, followed by a second pot of a very mid earl grey (no milk, don't even ask).
The sandwiches, scones, etc were quite nice, but not giving in quality/freshness. This is because, as our hostess described to us IN DETAIL, they order in every item from other suppliers. While she obviously thinks these partnerships are a huge flex, they really can't compare to fresh food made in-house.
With the strange service & lack luster beverage / food, the value of the experience should be in the'immersive' atmosphere, but what looks cute & extra in photos is nothing short of DERANGED in person. Hundreds of cheap ribbons & dollar store fake flowers are literally GLUE GUNNED all over the walls, light fixtures, even the air conditioner. The cold overhead lighting (bright enough to light up a crime scene), & cheap table linen (microplastics!) were not selling luxury. The website promises to'suspend time in a porcelain universe of well-being in pastel shades' (red flag in retrospect) but in reality it feels like the result of an adderall-fulled temu-bender.
I can get behind a weird experience, so I wasn't even mad at all this until I paid my bill. Tax & tip included, I spent Seventy. Seven. Dollars. at this establishment. For just myself. That is the price of an actually good high end tea, like the Queen Elizabeth or The Ritz Carleton; where the narcissist vibes owner is not using you as a sim in her bridgerton inspired vanity project.
Unless paying a substantial sum to be talked down to in cringe victorian cosplay is your thing, I'd recommend passing on Lady porcelaine.
I recently went for high tea at Lady Porcelaine & it was such a nice experience.
The teas were fantastic & the food was great.
Lady Porcelaine is far more than a tea service-it is a beautifully curated experience.
Guests are encouraged to dress in Victorian-inspired attire, & upon arrival the staff thoughtfully match your outfit with a charming hat & take photos throughout the stunning space. Every detail, from the tea room to the restrooms, is meticulously designed & filled with delightful curiosities.
Once seated, you select your teacup from a cabinet of nearly 100 unique pieces. The tea hostess carefully chooses the tea, explains its origins, & presents an elegant platter of both savory & sweet offerings. Thoughtful touches abound, including a wish ritual with a water bottle & marker.
When the staff learned it was my best friend's birthday, they went above & beyond by creating a truly memorable moment: she was invited to write a future note, which was sealed with wax, dated, & entrusted to a friend to be opened on the chosen date.
An exceptional, immersive, & unforgettable experience. I cannot wait to return to Lady Porcelaine.
My best friend & I take each other to Afternoon Tea for our birthdays. We went to this place yesterday & it was a fabulous experience. As soon as you walk in, someone takes your coat. Then, we get to choose a fascinator, then photos. The food & tea were just as good as the experience. Will definitely return.
Wow, most deserved 5 stars of my life. I've never had service this good & personalized. From the second we came in, everyone on staff was friendly & welcoming. All the food & both teas we tried were stellar, not one dish was lacking in any way. I even asked if they had any honey, as I prefer it to sugar in my tea, & when they said they didn't have any they offered to go out & buy some!!! Also gave a great selection for nearby bakeries we'll be trying.
Will be back, without a doubt. 10 out of 5 stars.
Lady Porcelaine is a lovely, whimsical, magical place! Everything from their absolutely amazing staff, to the teacups is perfect. They have everything planned wonderfully for you & they make sure your experience is amazing. ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
Incredible tea house. Exceptional service & staff.
This is not just high tea, it's an experience. & very much tailored to you feeling the special feeling of high tea!
I do wish we could choose more teas, but the tea that comes with the service is delicious. The food is delicious. The decor & atmosphere are unique & remarkable - no other tea place like this.
I HIGHLY recommend this for whatever event you need it - they have small rooms for birthdays/showers.
You must go!
This was such a wonderful experience. The whole atmosphere of the place was so welcoming & the staff were super lovely. The teas & treats were very tasty too. Highly recommend for an afternoon tea experience!
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday & we both loved it. It is more than just an English high tea, it is an unforgettable adventure into a whimsical world filled with beautiful objects & delicious food, where everything has a story.
When we entered, we could choose from a variety of fun vintage-style headdresses: there were even crowns for people celebrating birthdays. The waitress took plenty of cool pictures of us & let us pick the tea cups which'spoke to us' from a giant cupboard.
We got 2 teapots of tea in turn. Both were really good but I especially enjoyed the first pot, which was blue & a bit sweet (thanks to Ontario ice wine). The food was amazing: all sourced from small local businesses.
My boyfriend got to write a letter to himself, which will be posted by the owner in a few months. I didn't expect so many extra attractions. I highly recommend this place for any special occasion but especially for birthdays.
I love this place, it's a super fun experience.
The food is locally sourced & the tea is sooo yummy!!! the owner & employees are so sweet & nice I will definitely go again!
For food options I love that they have options for everyone.
The tea sets were soooo cute & the whole experience was really worth it :D
The scones were really really good especially with the real clotted cream
Not your everyday high tea, the owner has put much thought into the creation of a memorable teatime experience! Tea's & pastries are sourced from local businesses & are high quality. Thank you lady porcelaine for creating such a beautiful establishment! 🫖
This is not just about tea; it is so much more. Jennifer & Darlene create a most magical, memorable experience...worthy of any royalty!! Thank you so much for the great memories.
I went there for the first time with my friends yesterday afternoon & the experience made my tea party dreams come true! Thanks to some of my best friends for recommending this! ✨🎀
It felt like we were stepping inside an episode of Bridgerton & everything was so beautiful inside, especially the porcelain plates & tea cups! 😍
The staff was very sweet, entertaining & knowledgeable about afternoon tea etiquette. If you have any food allergies, they are very kind to adjust the menu to your needs. 🙏👌Not to mention, we got to try on & wear those pretty clip on hair accessories the whole time & even have a pictorial session with cute props. 💁📸
I also enjoyed the tasseomancy experience with Tricia! Reading was very spot on & truly needed. 💯🙏
The food & teas were delicious! My faves were the quiche & scones with cream & jam as well as the blue tea. 🤤
