The first and the best for All You Can Eat Tacos! 🔥🌮
At La Tóxica, we're the originals, the ones who launched this unique experience in Montreal, and we remain the best at offering you unlimited tacos full of authentic flavors.
La Toxica offers a lively, Latin vibe atmosphere with authentic flavors, especially standout birria tacos and a rotating lineup of tacos that includes al pastor, carnitas, steak, and a vegetarian option, all paired with a strong cocktail list featuring margaritas and a divine Paloma. The all you can eat tacos option provides good value for the price, with fast service and a friendly, welcoming feel in many visits, though a few guests noted limited toppings and some variability in portion size and speed when the place gets busy. Overall, the experience blends flavorful food, festive decor, and a fun, social ambiance that makes it a popular spot for groups and celebrations, with occasional tradeoffs mentioned like price and consistency.
Great experience - highly recommend for groups of friends.
I went for the all-you-can-eat tacos last Tuesday & wasn't disappointed. Honestly, I enjoyed all the flavors available in the rotation. That said, I do think the variety is a bit limited: birria, carnitas, steak, chorizo, plus a vegetarian option if you ask. Everything tasted good, even the birria - although it didn't really resemble any birria I've had before (it felt more like meat in a tomato-based sauce), but still enjoyable.
One thing that seems pretty standard for all-you-can-eat taco spots in Montreal is that you only get the tortilla & the meat - no cheese, guacamole, or sour cream included. Even so, the price is great for what you get. The'spicy' sauces they offer are actually really good, especially the green one.
Nice atmosphere, very Latin vibe. Service was good - I really liked our server, with that warmth & friendliness that only us Latinos seem to have 🙂
The food was good-the birria tacos & the quesadillas were good. However, if you order takeout, be very careful not to forget your food. We stepped out briefly & came back within two minutes to pick it up, but the waitress had already thrown it in the trash. That was very disappointing.

Bonne nourriture mexicaines & belle ambiance. Nous sommes allés un samedi soir avec un groupe d'amis. Le service un peu long au début. Il y avait un groupe de musique les gens dansait. Ambiance festive & chaleureuse. Les tacos Al Pastor & Birria sont excellents.
We were hungry & another nearby taco place was packed. La Toxica quickly sat us, & the vibe seemed good. We ordered birria tacos, chicken tacos e birria ramen. The food came out at the same time as our drinks…very quickly. The beef birria was catastrophically bland. Like unseasoned. Luckily the consommé had a bit of flavor, but these were not good. The birria ramen was okay - basically ramen noodles in consommé with some of the same flavorless beef. Not hugely impressed but it seems like they do good birthday business (there were 6-7 birthday sparklers over the 45 minutes we were there).

I went to the one in Chinatown, not really impressed. Dishes like carnitas nor pozole were available. They said only the one on Jean Talon serve these dishes. Dissatisfied & disappointed. Birria was salty, & is beef birria. On the other hand, tacos were good. Fresh fruit water was delicious. Service is good, friendly & helpful waitress. Good family ambiance. I probably will try the Jean Talon's restaurant. Looking forward to carnitas taste. I hope this will help you.
