It did take a bit of time to get us set up & order etc, but things went great after. The staff was very friendly, we enjoyed the food, & the atmosphere was just wow.View more
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at La Taverne de Noël, & I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles & a festive atmosphere that truly set the tone for the evening. The service was outstanding. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff remained incredibly friendly & accommodating, ensuring that we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. Their attentiveness & professionalism really stood out, making us feel valued as guests. Now, onto the food-simply excellent! The chef did an incredible job, not only in terms of flavor but also in presentation. Each dish was beautifully arranged, showcasing the care & creativity that went into the preparation. It was a feast for both the eyes & the palate! Moreover, the Christmas decor was absolutely enchanting. The festive touches throughout the restaurant added to the overall charm & made our dining experience feel even more special. I highly recommend La Taverne de Noël to anyone looking for a delightful meal in a warm, welcoming environment. We left with full bellies & happy hearts, & we can't wait to return!View more
We've been looking forward to visiting with the kids but unfortunately won't be returning. The place is beautifully decorated & really gives you that cozy Christmas vibe. We expected & understood the long wait but the food & drinks were super disappointing. The sweets tasted stale, dessert wasn't fresh, the hot chocolates really didn't taste good. Our waitress forgot half of our order. Really not what we were hoping for!View more
We came here after a hockey game the night before & stood in line for almost an hour. A woman came out & spoke in French & told us they would close the shop within the hour. We decide to stop by at a different time the following day. The next day was a rainy one, it was a 5 minute wait. The full menu was not yet available that time of day. Baked goods, hot bevys & cocktail only in the afternoon. I enjoyed the Le Grinch drink (it was like a big shot). Hubs had a hot chocolate & some kind of cookie. Festive decorations everywhere. The restroom needs some attention. It did not have paper towels & almost noTP. I did alert them of that. If we travel to Montreal again I would like to try the pizza. It smelled so delish the night before when we didn't get in.View more
View more
View more
Ok gang ! Super belle expérience malgré le -22c.View more
Instagrammable Christmas atmosphere? Yes. Worth the 1 hour wait? Absolutely not. Our hot chocolates weren't particularly hot, most of the food was sold out (1pm), & beyond the decor it was super underwhelming. I had high expectations for the drinks, but tasted like a powdered package you buy at the grocery store. Service okay (understaffed). Still want to go for cute pictures? Go early!!View more
Good place to share with friends during soirée & having nice ambience for you to spend with the loved one. Good meal as i order pizza La MTL fumée, Lemon Haze, pudding chomeur, all taste great with a ni e service. Bravo for La Taverne de Noël, keep up the good work!View more
I went on a Monday night but the wait time was around an hour. The waiter was really kind but they are severely understaffed. We tried a couple of items on the menu, the raspberry hot chocolate was really watery & underwhelming. We also tried the alcohol free eggnog- that one was acceptable but nothing exceptional. The pizzas were really bad we threw them away we got the Mtl fume & the la douceur des champs. The pudding chômeur was dry & inedible. The ambience is nice tho, worth a visit maybe with less crowd but I would not come again. It was really expensive for the quality of the food/drinksView more
Great intricate decor, terrible organization. Unclear line placement. With the amount of people there it should be much more organized. I went on a Monday at 2pm & it was packed, which isn't a problem by itself, but given that, there should either more employees or clearer organizationView more
A delightful pop-up café fully immersed in the Christmas spirit! The menu is beautifully crafted with festive inspiration, offering unique treats that truly capture the holiday vibe. Special shoutout to the "Choco Mauve" hot chocolate-it's an absolute must-try & a hit with both adults & kids! I visited with my child, & we were enchanted by the cozy, magical ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit, better to go in the morning to avoid the line up.View more
So there are places that you know are not going to be amazing but you go anyway. La Taverne de Noel manages to underdeliver above all expectations. We saw the reviews weren't amazing but decided to do it for the atmosphere. After waiting in line for 45 mins (at 2pm on a Sunday) we noticed that the main reason the line-up was so long was that the staff was so overwhelmed with running the place they wouldn't notice when people would leave, so we'd be staring at what were empty seats for 10 minutes straight. The drinks weren't amazing & the food available at that time was mediocre. All & all it was crowded & poorly managed, it felt like the main point is to squeeze as much money out of people's pockets as possible, with very little consideration for the quality of the experience. We're not going to go again, I would recommend avoiding unless you're a masochist or there is no line-up:). I saw the owner replies to these reviews, & I was under the impression that the feedback is taken into consideration but I was very disappointed to see that the bad reviews are very spot on & the replies be a cheap way of damage control. No ill comment towards the staff, they seemed to be doing the best they could given the situation.View more
Waited over an hour to get mediocre food & no service. They don't give you utensils, plates, or napkins unless you ask. You have to go get your own water too. The only decent thing was the drinks & the fun Christmas deco but even then it's still not worth it. If there's a line don't bother.View more
