The onion cream sauce had a bit of a burnt undertone to it, which is not to my personal liking, & the sweet & spicy one wasn't spicy at all. The chicken in of itself was super crispy & moist inside. The fries were the star of the show as they were well seasoned & crunchy (kind of like the Costco ones). The portion size was surprisingly pretty fulfilling despite seeming small.
It's a good price for what you receive. The fried chick was good but not great. The kimchi portion was sad.
Had a nice experience here! The bibimbap & kimchi tofu soup were really delicious & definitely the highlights of the meal. The beef short ribs were also quite good-flavorful & well cooked.
The only downside was the fried chicken. It wasn't very crispy, & oddly, it had a slightly bitter taste. Not sure what caused that. Other than that, everything else was enjoyable!
I work nearby & had heard about La Table de Jo from colleagues, so I finally gave it a try. As a Vietnamese, I was honestly surprised I hadn't come across this spot earlier.
The staff stood out right away. Super friendly, making the effort to speak French & even double-checking our order to make sure everything was right. It felt thoughtful & genuine.
I went for the midi combo with fried chicken, & it's exactly what you want for lunch. A full plate with variety: crispy chicken with different sauces, rice, salad, dumplings, kimchi, plus a soup on the side. It feels complete without being complicated.
What I liked most is having multiple textures & flavors in one plate. Crunchy, fresh, spicy, comforting. It makes the meal more interesting from start to finish.
Solid spot for a satisfying, no-stress lunch. I'll definitely be back.
The staff were very friendly & the food was hot & fresh. We got the fried chicken it I was seasoned well & had a nice crisp! Highly recommend the tteoboki to share.
Food is delicious but the portions are not a size you could share, they're quite individual except for the fried chicken!
Fast & friendly service! Fried chicken combo, pork Japchae & jujube were delicious! 😋
