Review Summary

LA TABLE DE JO comes across in reviews as a cozy, stylish Korean spot in the village serving authentic flavors with generous portions and good value. The food is repeatedly praised for being flavorful and well balanced, with standout dishes such as bulgogi, bibimbap, jjigae, mandu, tteokbokki, a seafood pancake, and a comforting army stew, and desserts such as the croffle receiving particular praise. Lunch specials with combos including miso soup are noted as affordable and convenient. The service is frequently described as friendly and attentive, though occasional slower service is mentioned when the place is busy. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and easygoing, with appealing decor and a cozy vibe, while a few reviewers mention the dining area can feel a bit cold and heating could be improved. Some critiques focus on dessert value and occasional missteps, such as a bingsu that did not meet expectations, but these do not dominate the overall impression. Overall, LA TABLE DE JO is widely recommended as a top Korean option in the area, with many guests planning to return to try more dishes and celebrate occasions.

Not fantastic... My fiance got the chicken Katsu, & it really looked like frozen chicken strips you get from the grocery store... My japche was fine, but it was mostly noodles, & not a ton of meat.

Though our server was friendly, & the atmosphere was very cool! Feels like a very instagram-y place. But it feels like their menu was an afterthought.

Worst Korean food I have ever eaten in my life. We ordered two sets of bulogi & spicy chicken. The chicken only had more cabbage than chicken. The bullogi sets was a ripoff, the side dish alone not worth it. Kimchi, seaweed, radish. Toronto have better Korean food. One tteokbokki, the sauce was so light, again cabbage no fish cake, my kids said it's like we eat one whole of cabbage. We spend $85, I feel cabbage cost less & honestly we feel like we wasted our money. They should improve on the side dish if they want to survive. Never again.

Food is delicious but the portions are not a size you could share, they're quite individual except for the fried chicken!

My partner & I wore passing by & smelt the sesame & knew we had to there. Our host Ian was very affable & informative which made our dining experience even better. The food was scrumptious 😋 I had the Korean chicken & my partner had the Bibimbap spicy 🌶? pork. We shared of course. Our meals were spectacular highly recommend. Will be back.

The place is very cozy with ambient light. Place is small-medium if you are wondering.
For entrance we had miso soup & salad with in house sauce. Personally the sweetish sauce is not my thing so I gave to my colleague.

Main dish, we pretty much took each of one in our group & the beef/chicken dish with, tomatoes/ananas/bean were the best. Meat were juicy. We also end up ordering extras because it tasted so good.

For dessert I took the waffle, ice cream with syrup. It's honestly great, the crunchy crust & soft inside were greatly executed.

However, the steamed bun with red bean is bad & you can taste it's from frozen product that has been steamed again. Would suggest to change to 4 smaller bun instead of a very large one.

Overall we will come back again.

Honestly, this restaurant is so pretty, & the food was delicious. We had the chicken katsu, tteokbokki, & a seafood pancake. I loved that nothing was too oily or too salty. Personally, I found the sauce on the salad that came with the chicken katsu a bit too sweet for my taste, but other than that, everything was great. The highlight for me was definitely the beautiful decor.
