Un petit resto du quartier chaleureux où on se sent bien, situé au coeur du Plateau, La Selva est un chouette restaurant mexicain génial pour une soirée tranquille entre amis et / ou famille. Le rapport qualité/prix est l'un des meilleurs en ville. Les portions sont généreuses, vous pouvez manger des excellentes crevettes, poissons et viandes accompagné de riz, salade et fèves.

It's my first time in Montreal, & I had Lunch with my husband at La Selva. The food & drinks were both delicious! The service was fantastic! Our server was very attentive & friendly. Would definitely recommend!Voir plus

The pulpo a la plancha was amazing! It was perfectly cooked & seasoned, the vegetables were a nice addition. With the Mexican plate, you choose the meat. I chose the fish & it was fantastic, I totally recommend. The carnitas tacos were good, though they needed the additional sauces. The special beef tacos were okay, a bit strange that you dipped the beef tacos in beef juice. Overall nice spot & atmosphere.Voir plus

Awesome restaurant ! It's a small & quaint restaurant that feels really authentic, the vibe was great & the music not too loud which was really appreciated. I had the vegetarian tacos & they were really good with rice on the side. The cocktails were not like the ones you see everywhere, but really good cocktails I had never heard of ! The service was also really good, the waitress was really nice & efficient. You can definitely see she knows what she's doing ! I had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic Mexican restaurant that truly embodies authenticity & passion, free from pretentiousness. I ordered the fish tacos, & they were absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh & perfectly cooked, & the combination of pickled cabbage & guacamole created a beautifully balanced flavor profile. The chef-owner generously offered us complimentary frijoles & ensured we were well taken care of throughout our meal. I've already been 3 times & intend on going again. The atmosphere's very pleasant & cozy, the staff is extremely friendly & the food is excellent. On the Food; there's a good variety of items (tacos, quesadilla, sea food, etc.) to chose from as well as being within a very budget friendly range. Favorite items so far has been the Tacos de Asada & the grilled Octopus (forgot the Menu item name but it's currently the 6th image when viewing the restaurant on google). Be sure to ask about their Nachos (new item they've recently added). Additionally, book your reservations online ! There's limited seating available & they an be filled very quickly. Overall, excellent food served in a very cozy environment. Strongly recommend if you're in the mood for Mexican food.Voir plus

Gustavo is the cook in this fabulous small restaurant. The ingredients are incredibly fresh & meals are expertly prepared. We had a birthday party there & we all enjoyed the food, joyful atmosphere, & Gustavo's mom Patricia was visiting & working as well. I highly recommend eating here. We all loved it!!!!!Voir plus
Absolutely excellent experience from start to finish. Cute little restaurant with an open kitchen & well-stocked bar. We were so busy eating, we forgot to take many pictures. The guacamole was amazing (& I'm very fussy about my guac) as was the octopus (pictured). The fish tacos were light fried in beer batter & then served with an amazing mayonnaise with avocado & habaneros peppers. Yummy! The steak tacos were equally good - rib eyes grilled on charcoal & sliced thinly. Great service. Highly recommend.Voir plus
