Had most delicious dinner . I had rack of lamb with potatoes & carrots with a delicious sauce. Also served with vegetables that were yummy. My husband had the elk, bison, & venison with different sauces that were also delicious. We were sitting at wonderful table where we could see everything & all the people coming & going. The wine was good & the desserts were fabulous. For dessert, we had Lava cake, & apple crumb both served with vanilla ice cream. We spent two fabulous hours, enjoying a bottle of wine & eating a delicious French meal.

Pricey but good if you want the experience of eating in a European setting. Good place to try game meats. We had the Elk, Caribou, Bison & Venison steaks. We also had scallops with chorizo & squid. Seafood tasted fresh. It was a good experience to try them all. We sat outside, which it gave us'la vie Parisienne' vibe. It was a bit annoying the amount of people that stood right next to us having their conversions (good for people watching & gossip 😆) Good place for drinks & Canadian wine.

My friends & I had a lovely French Onion soup here with some wine & genuinely enjoyed it. The staff were lovely & the atmosphere was enjoyable. The only thing was that the waiter brought wine for us, we tried it & liked it & then took it. It wasn't until the bill came we realized it was an $80 bottle of wine! I feel like the waiter should've let us know that prior.

We had a wonderful dinner at La Sauvagine. We started with oysters & then had the Pork Special & Lamb chop, both were excellent. They have a nice wine list, including some nice by the glass selections. The inside was inviting & quieter than other places in the area we had been, which was nice. The staff was attentive & made sure we had a wonderful evening. Thank You!

Premier location. Excellent food. Great wine selection. Atmosphere is great for romantic dinner or family gathering. Several seating areas. Our waiter Anthony was superb. He offered outstanding menu selections & wine pairings. Anthony is a long time local resident who can give you great history on old montreal. He is the archetype classic French waiter. Total professional as is all the staff. They take their food & service very seriously for your benefit.

This particular establishment also has Portuguese selections. The restaurant above is owned by the same person. Two different chef's.

Escargo & wild game bird pate as appetizers.

We ordered the 3 wild game meat entree & the caribou.

I ordered flan for dessert while my wife ordered creme brulee for example.

The food is too die for!

I've dined here 5 times over the last 3 years while on travel.

Lovely place, great food (both Portuguese & French). Knowledgeable staff - they were able to accommodate our special requests, because my wife couldn't it garlic.

We also loved their Pinot Grigio from Niagara Falls region & Mouton Cadet wines.

My daughter & I have had a hard time to be able to plan a mom & daughter time due to her work schedules… so we had planned an evening out in
Montreal to go for an early supper than to the Ballet .
I had called the restaurant to book reservations & I spoke with the owner David Dias ( what a wonderful person… so friendly!!) I explained my situation & he was more than willing to accommodate out time frame … the food was amazing ( I am a high end chef by trade so food is my passion) the service was outstanding & we ended up skipping the ballet & did an amazing tapas experience that brought me & my daughter back to our trip to Portugal & Spain. !! We spent over 4.5 hours eating a very well spaced out meal with wine paring & talking which was a well overdue mom & daughter outing that my daughter & I was blown away with how amazing everything was !
We found out that this restaurant is a generational owned family business & we were even served by the current son who took over when his beloved father has passed away during Covid … David explained that he always worked with his mom & dad & now his son is working with him … wat a wonderful family & business so heart warming & a place to go to for an amazing experience it definitely made memories for me & my daughter Amanda !!

Popped in here on a whim for my wife's birthday. So glad we did. This is a perfect romantic spot for a nice meal & some great wine. The service was great & we'll definitely be back!

We are visiting the city & after a long day of activity & wandering around we stumbled across this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy & warm. The service was warmer. We immediately felt welcomed & "part of the family." From the bread to the main course the food was delicious. If you have the pleasure of being served by Anthony consider yourself lucky! He regaled us with stories from his past while we sipped wine & looked out at the street in Old Montreal. Would definitely visit again!
