My daughter & I have had a hard time to be able to plan a mom & daughter time due to her work schedules… so we had planned an evening out in
Montreal to go for an early supper than to the Ballet .
I had called the restaurant to book reservations & I spoke with the owner David Dias ( what a wonderful person… so friendly!!) I explained my situation & he was more than willing to accommodate out time frame … the food was amazing ( I am a high end chef by trade so food is my passion) the service was outstanding & we ended up skipping the ballet & did an amazing tapas experience that brought me & my daughter back to our trip to Portugal & Spain. !! We spent over 4.5 hours eating a very well spaced out meal with wine paring & talking which was a well overdue mom & daughter outing that my daughter & I was blown away with how amazing everything was !
We found out that this restaurant is a generational owned family business & we were even served by the current son who took over when his beloved father has passed away during Covid … David explained that he always worked with his mom & dad & now his son is working with him … wat a wonderful family & business so heart warming & a place to go to for an amazing experience it definitely made memories for me & my daughter Amanda !!View more
Nous avons pris 4 plats différents & étaient délicieux. Canard, crevettes, & autres viandes Il ne manquait que quelques légumes à ajouter au plat de pâtes. Agréablement installé à l'extérieuView more

Excellent restaurant. La nourriture est excellente. Soupe à l'oignon divine & steak frites à point. A découvrir. Un des meilleurs restaurants du Vieux Montréal.View more
Stopped by on a sunny day in Montreal for wine & tapas. Highly recommend the mussels & scallops.View more
This place is good, I would recommend the chicken Piri, you get to eat at a nice place in the old port & get out with around 40$ & I was full by the end of the night. They also give you free bread & olive so I would skip the entree & dessert. The waiters are very kind & have an old school style to them which I appreciated. If you really want to be at the old port & find a nice sit down restaurant, this is a nice option
Only thing is weird is why the plates are super hot, I'm seeing microwave here & I'm guessing that is why. I find it odd...but the food was good soView more

Had dinner on a snowy Thursday, during a little hockey game, so the restaurant was not busy, but we had a window seat & a lovely time. We had excellent service from Anthony, truly professional, very attentive without being intrusive. Had some excellent oysters, followed by seared foie gras ( which we both prefer over a terrine or parfait ) & lamb, all well cooked. We also felt it was good value for money in old Montreal, our Sancerre was $62, & the foie gras at $25 was excellent value. The half rack of lamb was 4 bones for $36, also very good value. Anthony prepared proper Irish coffees tableside. A lovely night, thank you so much!View more
We had a fantastic experience at "La Sauvagine"! The ambiance was warm & inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal.
Our waiter, Anthony, provided excellent service-he was incredibly welcoming & attentive, making sure we had everything we needed . We arrived from the cold, & he thoughtfully turned the heater on for us, making us feel instantly comfortable.
The food was just as impressive. The French onion soup was hands down the best in the city-rich, flavourful, & perfectly balanced.
I also loved escargots, which was perfectly cooked, seasoned & presented.
The ingredients tasted fresh, & the portion sizes were just right. Every detail, from the warm hospitality to the delicious meal, made our visit memorable.
I highly recommend La Sauvagine to anyone looking for great food & a wonderful dining experience. Can't wait to return! We will definitely be back!View more
Best French Onion Soup I've ever had. An excellent flavorful broth that was smooth & onion forward- not overwhelming, paired with an equally balanced cheese with excellent portions of broth, cheese, & bread. Wish I lived close by! I would order it again & again.View more

We are visiting the city & after a long day of activity & wandering around we stumbled across this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy & warm. The service was warmer. We immediately felt welcomed & "part of the family." From the bread to the main course the food was delicious. If you have the pleasure of being served by Anthony consider yourself lucky! He regaled us with stories from his past while we sipped wine & looked out at the street in Old Montreal. Would definitely visit again!View more
