Generous portions & authentic flavors. We had the trio of Tunisian salads, & tried the Barley soup, the Brique, the Couscous, the Gargoulette, the Tagine, the desserts & the mint tea. Both the chicken & the lamb were delicious. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing & it's definitely a great spot to try authentic Tunisian food in the city. Only issue we had was the service; when asking for things, it was hard to get the staff's attention.
**A Taste of Tunisia: A Ramadan Feast to Remember**
Stepping into La Rose des Sables, one is instantly enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere that pays homage to Tunisia's rich culinary traditions. The soft glow of lanterns, the scent of slow-cooked stews, & the gentle hum of conversations create a truly authentic experience that honors the spirit of Ramadan.
The menu is a celebration of traditional Tunisian cuisine, thoughtfully curated to provide the comforting flavors that make iftar special. The **chorba**, a fragrant tomato-based soup with tender lamb & a hint of spice, is the perfect way to break the fast. It's followed by **brik**, the iconic crispy pastry filled with egg, tuna, & capers-light, flaky, & irresistibly delicious.
The main courses are a feast of flavors. The **couscous with lamb & vegetables** is hearty, expertly seasoned, & perfectly balanced. The **tajine el bey**, a baked dish of eggs, cheese, & finely spiced meat, showcases the depth of Tunisian flavors. No Ramadan spread is complete without **slata méchouia**, the grilled pepper & tomato salad that adds freshness & contrast to the meal.
For dessert, the **makroud**, date-filled semolina pastries drizzled with honey, are the ideal sweet ending. Paired with a steaming cup of **mint tea**, it rounds off the meal with warmth & tradition.
Service is impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring each guest feels welcome. Whether you're observing Ramadan or simply looking to explore Tunisian cuisine, La Rose Des Sables delivered an experience steeped in history, hospitality, & heartwarming flavors.
What an Amayzing restaurant, great atmosphere, lovely staff, authentic tunisian cuisine, Noor helped us order & experience the best dishes. Will be back
Quiant little place to first experience Tunisian food. I think I never tried lamb so good. Highly recommended.
Very delicious food & amazing service. Nour was the hero of our night. It was my first time eating Tunisian food & she just made the experience wonderful.
I had lamb with couscous cooked tunisian way it was excellent by all means. Atmosphere was nice. Service was excellent. I will go back to dine there for sure.
The food was awesome 👏 we experienced a baladi show & it was amazing ❤️ I recommend this place to eat good tunisian food 🇹🇳
I went with my fiancee & that was awesome! I want to share my experience because this restaurant is worth it!
The atmosphere of the Tunisian culture, music, videos immersed us straight when we entered. The decoration, the size of the place & the way the tables are set can be for either a romantic intimate dinner or group dinners. According to the food, I definitely recommend the plates we took because we just loved them! The entries were a brick à l’oeuf & entrée du chef. Then we took a couscous royal & a tajine à l’agneau. We finished with some sort of almond desserts & the waiter served us a traditional mint tea! That was cool! Less cool when I tried to serve like him by raising up the hand when serving which ended to an epic fail =)
Finally the service was perfect from the beginning to the end, the waiter recommended the appropriate plates & didn’t try to sell us whatever (believe me I m an international waiter).
My friends recommended me this restaurant & they were right! So YAY ! I’m doing the same. Keep going La rose des sables !! ;)
