Entrees arrived another 30 min later. Not at all well organized on this new Year's eve even though reservations were made ahead. Portions were small for the group, we got 4 shrimps for 5 people. Price excessively high for the wait. Kids were starving & they didn't offer anything to help them wait. Some people arrived after us & were served before. Will not go back there!
New Years Eve... Understandably service will be slow. Not enough staff... 2 hour time limit.... been here 1 & a half hours & still not served our main course... They better not come & tell us to exit before we are done. Not our fault.
Ah quel domage!!! C'était notre petit asiatique du coin. Malheureusement on va en trouver un nouveau dans le quartier. La nourriture n'est pas aussi bonne que avant & ils ont presque doublé les prix. Donc on n'y retournera plus.
Excellent food, but the place is very poorly maintained, & the service is Not warm
Even though we bow live over an hour away, this place is still our favorite Montreal restaurant. We get takeout any time we are in the area. Fresh!
I used to love this restaurant in the 90's
The quality is no longer as good as it was once up in a time. Frozen instead of fresh. Watered down soups & over priced. I won't go back. Very disappointing
As I await with my buddy in anticipation of the greatest shrimp toast to get dropped graciously on the table by our authentic waiter Bob.'Hello sire, we meet again' - I said to the piece of Shrimp Toast gingerly, before devouring it & bathing the next piece in its red fruité sauce. The sesame crunch, coupled with the intently mashed & freshly served shrimp pâté filling, supported by a buttery crispy base… I drool… *beat* My eyes roll back in pure delight. Bob asks us if we want anything else besides the Fortune Cookies & I respond:'Yeah, the recipe & a box to go please' Bob nods.
Damn if this isn't still a great restaurant. Hadn't been in 20 years & it did not disappoint.
Try the shrimp toast. Their peanut butter dumplings are also very good. Banana fritters...yum.
When we arrived the receptionist didn't even say hello or give me a moment; it took sometime for someone else to assist us.
BUT the urinals in the men's restroom smell bad, & one was FILTHY.
They better do something about that in order to loop successfully the experience.
