Delicious fries, great hot dogs & good service. Only negative is the restaurants interior desperately needs some cosmetic repairs at the minimum, but being such a popular & busy spot, I definitely understand that trying to do some renovations would drastically impact business. If you want a quick eats, it's a must ☺?
Eh bien, quelle agréable découverte. On est des fans de poutine, & je peux te dire que celle-ci, elle vaut le détour. Au niveau des frites, c'est des patates double-cuites, sucrées, crispy, brunes, pas graisseuses. Y'a amplement de fromage & sur différents niveaux de la poutine (en couches), en plus d'être hyper frais. Ça squeak à souhait en bouche. La sauce, vraiment vraiment bien. Brun-foncé, épicée avec je ne sais pas exactement quoi, on dirait qu'il y a de la muscade, ou de la cannelle, c'est une sauce goûteuse & onctueuse. Y'a du travail de recherche d'équilibre qui a été investi dans cette sauce. Comme quelqu'un d'autre l'a dit ici, elle est pas trop salée non plus. Parfaite. & la finale: le prix. C'est un bon prix. Pas cheap; pas chère. La petite est 9$, la moyenne 10. J'ai pas terminé la mienne incluant le fromage. C'est icitte ton prochain spot à poutine, & le staff est friendly!

Si vous lisez cet avis, c'est que vous cherchez à savoir comment ce restaurant se compare aux autres excellentes adresses de Montréal pour déguster des hamburgers, des frites, des hot-dogs & de la poutine. Whether you are a Montrealer who enjoys the other great local fast food places (which I won't mention here), or someone who is visiting, I recommend paying La Pataterie a visit.
Recommended by friends & colleagues in MTL, this was my first time going to La Pataterie. When the menus are on the old school boards & not the flat screen TVs, you know you're in the right place. It's a perfect greasy spoon type diner, the service was easy, quick & the food hit the spot.
Definitely one of the best poutines I've had in the city. Normally I don't eat glizzys, but I tried something new & got the grilled hotdogs (all dressed) & was pleasantly surprised. I love venturing into new neighborhoods & La Pataterie was a great find. Recommending this place!

Yummy! The texture of the fries & cheese is amazing, & their sauce is delicious, not too salty. It's the perfect place for a quick but delectable poutine. The prices are fair. It can get pretty loud.
While we've been staying in Montreal, we have gotten food from this place several times. First off, this place has a vintage cozy interior with booths that look out onto the busy street. Second, the staff here is friendly, quick, & very organized. Lastly, the food is authentic & well prepared. Our favorite thing here is an all dressed steamy & the classic poutine. We really like their gravy!
Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger & poutine. The cheeseburger was good! Poutine was different... the sauce was watery, had a curry & cinnamon flavour to it- not your typical gravy. Visually it looked amazing, great ratio of cheese & fries! Would not order the poutine again the gravy wasn't my preference for poutine gravy.

Came here for the first time. I ordered large poutine which was serve very quickly. The sauce was great as well as the cheese. I wasn't a fan of the french fries. The interior was dirty but it also had that 90s charm to it that wasn't well kept. Staff was nice.
Best burger in Montreal!! We live LaSalle & every chance we get we stop by! Unbeatable quality of a real Montreal styled burger! The fries are the RIGHT style of poutine fries, soft inside & crunchy on the out! 10/5
The best poutine we had during our visit in Montreal! We stopped in for lunch. We tried many poutines while visiting & La Pataterie had the best gravy! The cheese curds were squeaky & the fresh cut fries were crisp!
Solid 4 stars very clean the FAST in fast food lives here!! But also quality, quantity & good old fashion service with a smile!! kudos to the employees & manager!! I forgot to say very clean place everything look truely clean! Even with all those fries in hot oil cooking & still clean backsplashes & counter!! I went in there starving & came out very full

I lived in hochelaga for 3 years , this was my go to spot. I visited today after 1 year of being away. . . The food is still as good as ever. Super fresh. Sqeaky sqeaky cheese curds. Hot gravy! Super toasted toasties with tons of flavor , cheeseburger bacon is exceptional. This place is consistent. Friendly & efficient. I will never not come here any time I'm in Montreal.
Eating with the locals ! This is a local favorite. Fresh fresh fresh. The burger is made to your desire. Freshly made. I have a double bacon cheeseburger with grilled onion. It tastes amazing. The fresh cut fries are plenty & delicious. The Gravy is 1.89 - they give you a whole cup. There are lots of drinks to choose from. There are lots of combos & if you just choose to have a burger there are lots of specials for $4 or $5. There's a small parking area & you can also park along this small street. The seating outside is very nice. Inside is like a retro cafeteria with big TV showing sports programs. Mind you the line up is very long. But it goes very fast. They have very efficient young people taking orders & cooking. It's like a South Street Burger type of line but this burger is worth the waiting. 5 stars
I've noticed that people come here for a quick bite so I decided to give it a try. The prices are solid for the meals. There are also multiple combos you can try for poutine, fries, & burgers. They allow you to add condiments like ketchup & mayo on top, as well as add bacon if really wanting too. I got the cheeseburger with added bacon, the savor was quite welcoming. The cold ingredients (lettuce & tomato) were fresh, alongside the hot ingredients: the patty & the bacon were well cooked. On top of that the mayo in the burger made it much more flavorful. Overall, great flavor for the burger. The fries were a little dull & different from what I have tried in other fast food places in America, but can't complain by adding some ketchup on top. Did not try the poutine from this place so I cannot say much about the classic Canadian favorite. Next time I go, I will try the fries served in a poutine styled meal.
Poutine sauce was super tasty, the fries & hamburger were hot & freshly made. The theme of the restaurant is vintage & cute, staff are friendly & nice!
