About us
Located on St-Denis Street in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, La Panzeria is an authentic Italian restaurant that serves traditional Puglian cuisine + pizza. Puglia is a region in the south of Italy that forms the heel of the famous boot.
The owners of La Panzeria, are both professional bakers and certified chefs from Italy. Whether you come for the pasta, pizza or other dishes such as the Parmigiana, you will definitely feel like in Italy.

Just had an amazing meal at La Panzeria, & honestly, it deserves all the hype! The focaccia barese was hands down the best I've ever had-fresh out of the oven, incredibly soft yet satisfyingly chewy. Topped with premium prosciutto, figs, pistachios, & cheese, every bite was so fresh & flavorful. Absolutely recommend it! The orecchiette was another pleasant surprise. You can tell it's handmade from the perfect texture & chewiness, & the red sauce was seasoned just right. No wonder this place is always so popular-it totally lives up to its reputation. Omgggg the food is AMAZING!!! The foccacias with the spicy cold cuts, the one with the mortadelle & pistachio were sooooo good!!! My fav Ive tasted, if you like octopus you HAVE to try their octopus sandwich, very generous in flavors, the bread was very fresh. Amazing food! The only inconvenience the place is so small that we could not sit there. It was full house. But just for the awesome food, it's worth going.View more

They were able to seat our large group on a busy Sunday afternoon which was really nice. We got the fig focaccia, pistachio & ham focaccia, two pastas, & their Polp fiction. All the food was fresh & so tasty. I especially loved the polp fiction. Definitely check this place out!View more

I have been wanting to try La Panzeria for a while so when I planned to come to Montreal this weekend it was near the top of my list. The Food - I got the focaccia with mortadella, burrata & pistachio, the toppings were very fresh & went very well with the focaccia. The bread was a bit chewy around the edge for my taste, looking at photos from other previous visitors it looks like mine may have just been a little more well done than usual. I had hoped to get a half-&-half focaccia with the mortadella & capocollo toppings which I had seen others post & recommend on social media however I was told at the cash register that this was not an option. The Experience - For anyone planning to visit here, please know that they DO take reservations. Their Instagram does not mention this, they have no website & seemingly no online booking however when I wanted to eat in I was unable to because I had no reservation. Overall the food was good however I wish that there is better information available online regarding reservations as I was really looking forward to the dine-in experience. I was also really looking forward to trying both the mortadella & capocollo toppings & am confused as to why this was not offered. If I were to return I would definitely make a reservation (I assume you do so by phone?) & go with a group so we can sample different things on the menu.View more

Drove almost 45 minutes to get to the location in Montreal. No parking to be found nearby which is typical in Montreal, we parked 15 minutes away by foot as it was the only place we could find for parking & walked to the restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant, there were 4 or 5 tables & a few bar seats, & no possibility of being seated as all seats were taken or "reserved". I didn't know we had to reserve & had no idea how small the space actually was. No possibility of reserving via the website or via Google & no indication in the website that it would be best to reserve to ensure you can be seated. We were offered to order take out, which we ended up doing. Walked back to the car & drove back home 45 minutes away in order to eat. We ordered focaccia & pasta with burrata & pistachio. The take out portion of pasta was really small for the price but tasted amazing. The focaccia also tasted amazing, reminded me of the pizzas we ate during our trip to Italy. Truly authentic & super delicious. We would definitely eat here again, but we would have to figure out how to reserve a seat at the restaurant to eat next time as the pasta portions looked larger at the restaurant than for take out. Staff was very nice & loved that everything is made fresh, just a bit disappointed at the limited seating as we were not able to experience the restaurant at it's best due to the lack of seating.View more

Love the place! But it's small, so unless you reserve, don't show up if you are more than 2 humans. Pistachio & burrata pasta lacked a bit of seasonning but was great still. Focaccia was fluffly & made purfectly but the knives we were given could hardly cut through & it was too thick to bite in as you would a pizza. Ingredients were fresh & good quality, making the pricetag worth it. The service was super friendly & efficient as well.
