Delicious food, The tea was amazing & made with Love for sure! I had the pleasure to discuss with the owner. Very kind & altruistic being who has founded La Khaima foundation & the festival nomade to create bridges with the Mauritanie & Montreal. The space is filled with ever changing Mauritanian textures, colors & objects, that allow us to travel there, experiencing the Nomad itself. Thank you :) Will definitly go back!
Loved the experience, sitting on cushions on the floor, the music, the big plate for everyone to share. Delicious food, great service & the perfect mint tea to end the meal. We will be back! Highly recommend for a group of friends or family reunion.
What a fun, interesting place with delicious food. Chicken & olives, vegetarian & beef dished served on couscous that was light & airy. Hibiscus juice was lovely, sweet mint tea a nice end to the meal. Really nicely decorated. We would come again.
One of the best meals I've ever had! Chicken with olives, beef in fig sauce, chickpeas & beans on top of couscous. They gave us chickpea hummus to start, & tea to finish. AMAZING!
gorgeous interior with inside-the-nomadic-tent vibe, with wooden beams & comfy cushions on low seats. food is delicious & plenty, with chicken, beef & veggies on a generous plate of couscous. at the end you'll get some sweet mint tea with sweets. staff is super nice & friendly. cool place!
Great atmosphere (relaxing & unique) & the food -(lentil soup, tagine, meatballs with dates, chicken & beans served over a bed of couscous) was great. Very friendly wait staff. & the mint tea to finish the meal is almost the best tea I've ever tasted!

The staff in this restaurant were amazingly accommodating & friendly. Food portions are seemingly endless (we had to leave food on the plates & they STILL offered more). The chef treated us to an amazing tea from his home town in Africa & the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely a place worth visiting in large groups.
Had my family hear for a post- wedding celebration. They served more food than we could eat & even offered more without extra charge of whatever we wanted.
Atmosphere was beautiful & the food was authentic, complete with Hibiscus tea from the chef's home town.
The food is amazing, really flavourful & filling & the spices were so authentic. The tea at the end of the meal was a real highlight/ just like I remember in Marrakech. The place does get a little warm as there isn't any air conditioning but they leave the doors open to try to circulate some air through. it kinda feels like you're in someone's home. Recommend to anyone who enjoys trying something new.
I did not know what to expect from this African neighborhood restaurant.
Upon entering the decor is authentic & tastefully done. I was surprised that we had to remove our shoes & seated on small benches on the floor. I am very tall & it was not very comfortable. (I saw they have real tables & chairs in the adjacent room...I will ask for that the next time)
It was a fixed menu which included soup to start (tasty but luke warm. We shared a platter of the 3 main courses (beef, vegetable, chicken) served on top of couscous. The platter looked beautiful & all the dishes were tasty but I was looking for more authentic pronounced flavors. For dessert we were served little cookies with tea which once agin tasted good but was luke warm. I understand it was Mtl a Table & very busy but this is a chance for a restaurant to put their best foot forward. I will return to give it a second try to see if it will be better because the food WAS good & service of the owners was very friendly & caring.

Went to La Khaima on a Tuesday night with a party of 4. My boyfriend & I went to Morocco a few weeks ago & were pleasantly delighted with authentic Moroccan cuisine. The way La Khaima works is that you each spend $25 for the same meal (table d'hôte); ours consisted of a lentil soup, & a massive shared dish of couscous & 3 tagines (1 chicken, 1 beef, & 1 vegetable), followed by traditional mint tea & gingerbread cake. All of it was delicious, & we will definitely come back! The decor was also wonderful, it felt like we were inside a berber tent with quilts flowing from the ceiling & low tables & seats. (By the way, you will be asked to remove your shoes once inside)
