About us
At la Khaїma (nomad tent), at 142 Fairmount in Mile End, we enter into a nomadic world, a journey through colors, flavors and sensations. Once inside, African music accompanied by a rich fragrance emanating from the kitchen complete the multi-sensory experience that transports you to the Sahara. Couples can enjoy an intimate setting while large groups benefit from Moroccan salon comfort, eating from a long, low table.
The founder, of Mauritanian origin, greets guests and his joie-de-vivre warms the atmosphere. The cuisine is African with a nomad touch. Dishes are prepared with local products following the “Slow Food” concept, creating uniquely spiced tajines that offer an unparalleled taste experience. In accordance with the tradition of the desert, guests share large platters tasting all the flavors on offer, with enough to satisfy even the most demanding of appetites.

Pas besoin de téléportation car ce lieu incroyable vous fera voyager le temps d'un repas en Afrique du Nord
Un conseil allez y entre amis pour profiter du cadre incroyable de ce restaurant & de sa cuisine à tomber par terre basé sur le partage & la convivialité
Seul bémol non négligeable, le repas est cher sachant qu'il est simple & que l'on a pas de dessert type corne de gazelle ou makrout en fin de repas

via LibroExcellent couscous, very different from the usual Moroccan sytle. The menu is limited but everyone was very happy with the three different types of couscous & the hummus. The meat one had a complex sweetish sauce, almost like a Mexican mole. I would suggest telling customers what the prizes are beforehand; it would help. It was scorchingly hot & we were offered a very comfortable table & chairs outiside (not the picnic benches on the terrace), which was perfect.
