Review Summary

La graine brûlée comes across as a quirky, charming cafe with bold, eclectic decor and a vibe that makes it a go to spot for working or catching up with friends, and it is noted for staying open late which is appreciated. The coffee is repeatedly praised as well prepared and tasty, with a wide range of drinks and snacks and a terrace that is popular for lingering. The space offers many seating options and coworking areas, plus unique touches like private nooks and walls you can write on, creating a creative, study friendly atmosphere, and there is even local merchandise to browse. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and there is a noted commitment to reducing waste and sustainable choices. It is often described as a must visit in the village and one of the best places in town for studying, socializing, and enjoying a casual meal or drink. Some criticisms appear: a grilled cheese that misses the mark, occasional slow service or crowded hours, higher prices, and occasional uncomfortable seating or sensory issues in bathrooms. Some patrons mention extra charges for takeout cups or portions and size expectations for drinks, but overall the experience remains positive and the place is seen as a standout, vibrant and inviting hub for work, drinks, and socializing.

I've recently started working out of cafes once a week, this was one of the first I tried for this purpose & it was a great pick. This is a unique, eclectic space. There are a few seating areas that customer can climb to & hang out bunk style. Plenty of seating throughout. The offerings are of quality, they have some boutique goods too for those that are interested. They are not short on baked goods but a bit more variety would be a plus. Overall the atmosphere of this place is fun & inviting, but still peaceful enough to get some work done. I was very comfortable working here for hours.

Quirky urban café serving coffee as well as cocktails. Large variety of seating & coworking arrangements. Trendy progressive vibe.

I want to rate this place higher because it is such a cute spot with good coffee, good service, lots of fun drinks & seating, & really good food, but dear lord the bathroom situation is abysmal & is a major reason I don't go here more often. For some reason both bathrooms are only lit with a single string of Christmas lights & one of those Halloween strobe bulbs. That sounds silly but it's dead true, trying to do your business in there is near impossible because it's so dark you can't see & you're also getting flash-banged every 5 seconds. I like this place but I hate having to use my phones flashlight just to use the bathroom.
