I recently visited La Fabrique de Bagel in Montreal & enjoyed a delightful breakfast. I ordered an everything bagel with herb cream cheese & salmon, which was a perfect combination of flavors. The bagel was fresh & had a nice chew, while the herb cream cheese added a lovely, subtle kick that complemented the smoked salmon perfectly. It was simple yet satisfying. I paired it with a cappuccino, which was smooth & well-balanced, with just the right amount of foam. The cozy atmosphere & friendly service made the experience even better. My boyfriend went to grab us some bagels for lunch. The girl who took his order got it wrong - & my boyfriend was charged & paid for an extra bagel when he was not supposed to. He told them that he was wrongfully charged an extra bagel, showing the receipt (we ordered 3 bagels - he got charged for 4). 2/3 of the staff (including the girl who took his order), they tried to tell him he was wrong despite him showing his itemized receipt that DISPLAYED THE MISTAKE & treated him as if he did not know what he was talking about. Same two girls didn't apologize, gave him a refund in cash, & then the one that took his order gave him glaring dirty looks. As someone who works in restaurant service, who let these girls work here? If you did something WRONG, apologize to the customer & correct your mistake. Don't just stand there & proceed to have an attitude when the customer did nothing wrong, even if you're not in the best mood. Thank you to the ONE staff who was kind enough to stick up for him & gave him helpful service.Voir plus

If you are a bagel lover, I highly recommend this place. Many selections & fresh bagels. Quite pricey, so at $12 a bagel sandwich, it adds up quickly. But what a delight!Voir plus

I have bought BLTs here 2-3 times previously & it was delicious but today I asked for one well toasted & not only was it not toasted at all it was cold & the bacon was completely raw. I was already far away when I opened it to eat it so couldn't return to bring it back. Also, I thought it was quite rude that when I went to pay the person at the cash asked me what kind of bagel I was having to ring me up & I told her & then she proceeded to open the bag & check the bagel as if I wasn't telling the truth. It was quite awkward as usually the person that prepares the bagel should be the one to tell the person at the cash instead of asking the patron as if they suspect them of lying. Sad to have had this experience & now need to get lunch somewhere else.Voir plus
