Absolutely the best bar in Montreal, the staff here is simply the best & the entire feel of the place is so comforting & so cool. My wife & I came here a few years ago before it was named MALT & we are so very happy it is even better than it was before. The drinks are superb, the bartenders are so accommodating & helpful, & the vibes are spectacular. We will keep coming back year after year.

Fraîchement rénové le MALT est un superbe endroit avec plusieurs choix de bière ainsi que de vinyle à écouter sur la table tournante !! Superbe expérience
Great spot with a really fun & relaxed atmosphere. MALT is the kind of place that's perfect whether you're going out with friends or just looking for a casual drink. The vibe is lively without being overwhelming, & it strikes a nice balance between a bar & a chill hangout spot. The drink selection is solid, with a good variety of beers & options to choose from, & everything is reasonably priced for the area. Service is friendly & efficient, even when it gets busy, which makes the experience even better. It's also a great place to spend a longer evening without feeling rushed. Overall, a reliable go-to spot with good energy, fair prices, & a welcoming crowd.
On est tellement déçu de ce que vous avez fait à la Distillerie. Il y a déjà de nombreux bars pour boire de la bière & écouter le hockey sur St-Denis, on ne sait pas trop ce que vous apportez de plus.
Le nouveau décor est super, mais on ne voit pas de raison d'y retourner.

Abordable & service incroyable. Enfin un nouveau pub stylé avec du grit. Parfait pour une bière pu un whisky sans se ruiner. Bonus pour les hot dogs steamés!
Honest to god so devastated if this place closes, been going here for years, favourite bar in the city. Always a good vibe, staff are incredible, had so many good memories here. My friends & I visited once dressed up as Pitbull & we did fireball shots with the staff
Meilleur endroit pour sortir prendre un verre avec ses amis ou même son date , personnel accueillant , ambiance cozy , leur drink sont tres généreux pour le prix ca en vaux la peine , je suis triste que ce bar ai fermé c porte peu après ma découverte parcontre :( on espère vous revoir bientôt !!! Bonjour, moi & mes amis adorons votre bel endroit. Cependant, nous sommes des habitués du lundi depuis plusieurs années. Nous sommes absolument dévasté d'apprendre que vous êtes désormais fermé les lundis. Nous espérons que ce ne sera seulement temporaire, gros bisous on vous aime 🫶
FAVORITE bar in Montreal, simply because of the superb cocktails & the even better staff. The bartenders are happy to make any drink to order, & everything is extremely affordable. You can also bring your own food in, for free
The Goldfish are addictive, & the cocktails always impeccable. This place specializes in perfectly balanced long drinks, in particular cocktails mixed in Mason jars, such as their perfect classic mojito. We've been coming for years; it's a mandatory visit every time we're in Montreal. In fact, they inspired a major part of our cocktail program at our own cocktail bar (RIP This End Up). I hope La Distillerie lives on forever. Chin chin!!!
08/09/2025 Back for our annual return to La Distillerie - same as ever, still amazing! Enjoying a happy hour Hurricane today. Thanks for being one of our favourite bars ever!
