Not Authentic Chilean food. Period. Advertised as Chilean, but in reality Mexican (other than the decoration). The empanadas were tasty, but short on the eggs, & the dough wasn't very good. Still a good place, nice vibe, clean bathroom & friendly staff. I'd say go for it if you're not picky on authenticity.
I am from Chile, visiting Montreal, & I was so excited to have finally found an authentic Chilean joint. Sadly, I was quite disappointed. The only Chilean food they had were empanadas, & the rest was Mexican. I ordered empanadas de queso & empanadas de pino. For the price, quality wasn't the best, & more importantly the empanadas weren't authentic Chilean.
La Chilenita, c'est un endroit pour profiter d'une restauration simple, délicieuse, & d'une ambiance sympa & douce! Rien de tel pour faire "glouton jasette"! Seule, avec son chéri, ses enfants, les collègues ou les amis...il n'y a aucune raison de se priver de ce bonheur à prix démocratique 😉!
I've never actually been there, but I regularly order a Chimichanga on UBER eats. It's delicious every time!!! Hands down my favorite place to order food. I will definitely go there in person someday.

Too salty, Great flavor but .... Is like the they drop the hole box of salt... bought few of it & the are all so salty, I thought it was me but as soon I make 3 people try it .... Sorry, I really would like to give you 5 stars if it wasn't this salty
Ça fait une vingtaine d'années que je fréquente la Chilenita & je n'ai jamais commandé un empanada. Pourquoi? Parce que c'est difficile de ne pas commander un Barros Luco. Un des meilleurs sandwichs rapport qualité/prix à Montréal, minces tranches de boeuf, tomates, avocat & leur délicieux fromage sur pain frais. Essayez-le & vous m'en remercierai, c'est un des meilleurs en ajoutant la sauce piquante (qui est plutôt douce). Service timide mais efficace, le local n'a pas particulièrement de charme mais est tapissé ici & là de rappels chiliens. $18 sandwich + Jarritos avec les taxes. Belle endroit pour aller manger des empanadas fraîche, des sandwichs, désert, churros, café etc etc il y a aussi une belle place dehors avec des tables & chaises pour prendre le soleil & manger à l'extérieur. Place tranquille & très accueillant. Merci à Michel pour être là & faire tout un différence avec la concurrence.

Lovely place with great decor to have a taste of Chile in the artistic neighborhood! Nice staff, we ordered a pack of different empanadas, all good --- go earlier so you can try more delicacies.
À tester au plus vite ! La nourriture est parfaite & le prix n'est pas élevé ! On ressent l'histoire du restaurant & cette ambiance familiale lorsque l'on rentre, & qui fait plaisir ! Je recommande !
