Shout out to the bartender as it is most impressive Bloody Cesar I've ever had. It was served on a square plate with a little piece of food on each corner, i.e. olives, sausage, nuts & biscotti - Wow. Food was good, entree of salads were good as well as arancini. Main courses were spaghetti in oil (large serving), pasta of the day with sausage & rapini (pasta cooked to perfection however felt the sausage was slightly undercooked), & ravioli with braised beef which was also very good. Ambience was nice but loud. Dessert Tiramitsu was delicious, however one of party's dessert order was forgotten. Saw several plates go by where presentation was once again, impressive.View more
Love love this place. It has become one of our go to restaurants now, we love the delicious steak & pasta, plus it's byow!View more
Was honestly expecting much more...Meat was well marinaded but salty & overcooked for one table & undercooked for the other. The pasta either lacked seasoning or was bathing in water & garlic.''Grilled'' vegetables were just boiled. Not sure if it was their off day. We booked because of the great reviews but all my guests were disappointed with the food & service. Won't be coming back.View more
Had a bad experience the first time I went but it wasn't entirely the restaurant's fault, it was more an ignorant customer next to us. Also a miscommunication about gluten free food, which was a back order issue & not so much their fault. The owner still took it upon himself to contact me a couple of days later to apologize & offer me a better experience. I returned recently & I have to say, it did not disappoint. The beef tartare is soooo good & the grilled octopus melts in your mouth. The pasta was delicious & their pizza as well. Everything we ate was just perfect & the service exceptional. We really enjoyed everything & highly recommend you try this place!!!View more

The best hidden gem in Montreal is in Lasalle! This restaurant is a combination family Italian & steakhouse. The owner greeted us at the door, showed us to our table, talked with us at our table & after we ordered came back & told us we ordered too much! When does that ever happen? We had a wonderful evening- all the staff are exceptional. Every staff always had a happy face.Parking around back or on the street. BYOB also! We sat down, we were immediately served fresh hot rolls. When you walk in you see the meat for sale at the counter. There is also excellent choice of homemade pastas. Their meat is the best quality & you taste it. The owner came by our table with a huge tray of five+ different seasonings if we needed to add to our meat. We did not. You could hear yourself talk. Restaurant has wood tables with black accents. Can't wait to return.
Always a winner! They always have a few interesting specials on the menu- usually an app, a pasta, & a variety of dry-aged steaks. Great place to go with a large group or an intimate dinner for two. desserts are always on point. I've been coming here for years & I've never been disappointed.View more
We ordered a steak & it wasn't good at all. Quality was poor. I ordered bragoli & it was like fried meat with a side of boiled veggies. For over $200 we would rather go elsewhere. Service got better after they realized we didn't like our mains but wouldn't go back here for steak or meat. Pizza & pasta seems to be a better option.
Amazing food.... Service was good on what seemed to be a busy night. I base my reviews on food not service.. we should be so lucky that we are getting food to eat & I don't care if I have to wait 10 extra minutes... we will not die! But yes my pasta dishes were bang onView more
O.k. let's be honest. It's a leeeetle pricey BUT, & its a big BUT, the food is absolutely, hands down, some of the tastiest Italian in the hood. The Charcuterie Board is a must try. We paired it with the herb & Parmesan fries. Delish! Then I had the pasta il limone. Outstanding. Truly. Wanted canolli for dessert but they weren't on the menu. I cried a little. But the donuts (fricatelli? Frigatelli? Frigwhatwasit!) Were also delicious.
Do it! Go! Impress your boy, your girl, your boss, your mom n dad!
Most of all? Do it for your tummy.
'Cause it's yummy.

This might just be a hidden gem. Food was very good & service also. An italian steakhouse is not a common thing so I was sceptical but their meat is dry aged on premise & the result is outstanding. Full of flavour & tender. Lemon paste dish is nice & refreshing with fresh pasta. Hosts very accomodating even for small food adjustments. Oh & its bring you own wine :) will return.View more
Hubby & I have always been told one can only go down with a 5 out of 5 or 100%. Hence we say
4 & 1/2 🌟 for Food, Service & Atmosphère. No one can make Pasta better! Even Nona agrees (brought some home for her to taste 😉) . Have had other food on menu & yes, 4 & 1/2 🌟 also.View more
Food was scrumptious; 4 1/2 ** .Service absolutely great = 4 1/2**. Cannot put 5 as one cannot go higher then. 😉. Must say pasta is always cooked to Perfection, no matter which kind or what it is served with. ****+
Excellent food. All pastas were cooked to perfection & portions were very generous. Service was a little slow that night ( not enough wait staff ?). Otherwise would have been 5/5 stars. Would definitely go again when I am Montreal !
Was our first time & really enjoyed our dinner. We took the waitress's recommendation & the steak was spectacular. The home made pasta was delicious. Bring your own wine was a bonus. Will highly recommend for special occasion. The staff was great & friendly
I was a customer for many many years we had so many birthday parties, & we would always go for a wonderful dinner with friends, because of the ambiance & personalized service, & we were always greeted as if we were part of a wonderful italien family. It was for me the best restaurant in LaSalle they would bring little extras entrees before ordering & would accommodate us if we wanted to change a side order, just so pleasant & friendly & food was always amazing. Was always full when we left Well i don t know what happened, After not going for a couple of years due to Covid I wanted to take my daughter for her birthday we were 4 of us. Let me tell you everything i describe at the beginning being a customer for years I can t tell you how disappointed & chocked i was after going to camps. It is certainly no longer the restaurant that i was use too , like before. Nothing was the same, I paid 50$ for 5 small bites sizes of filet mignon + a very small portion of fries that were nothing special. Not home made that s for sure I had ask if i could change the fries for pasta or something else since they had it written on the top of the page on menu she said no not possible with this choice , if that is what you want then buy it individually. I also explained that i could not eat garlic so the toping the were adding i ask to not have it because of the garlic. Server then came back to explain that there is just such a small amount that i won t taste it & ask me is it a preference not to have it or an allergy. I did not understand why she came back to tell me this. I ask no garlic. Was i going to take a change even with a tiny portion being allergic No i don t think so, Then she informed the other guest that there is a 3$ extra fee for the Cesar salad because the romaine lettuce is hard to find. Really do customers need to know this about what they can find or not to find for there menu ? IGA had 4 in a package for 2.97 this week. With every little issue, that occurred from beginning till the end i was asking myself were am I. The server saw how annoyed i was getting with out saying a word i think my face was enough to see how unhappy i was, that she sent other people to our table & let them finish with us. This is no longer the same restaurant as before, Staff is all changed with no friendly customer service meaning they don t engage like before its all about how much will they be selling at the table, very cold ambiance i certainly did not feel part of the italien family like before & i left very hungry with what i ordered as my main dish. A an expensive bill. Which was not worth it at all. & sorry i took my daughter there for her birthday They definitely lost a customer who loved this restaurant before & has been living in LaSalle for over 20 years
Great steak, veal & pasta dishes. Everything was delicious & excellent service!
We the best tasting filet mignon paired with homemade cuts fries with parmigiana. This will be a staple topping for fries from now on. The service was especially friendly & you never had to ask for anything they can read your mind. We also enjoyed lemon pasta & if you ever get a chance to order it you will not be disappointed we did not want the plate to end
Thanks Campagnola
This was my 2nd time at this restaurant. This place is amazing, the food is excellent. The only thing that we can criticise is the way the food was received at the table... 1 person received his meat but the fries arrived when he was finished eating it because he didn't want his meat to be cold, ,,& the other received her potatoes & received her meat after.. ..& 2 people ordered the seafood pasta, 1 person got his & the other waited about 7 minutes later to get his. So the food did not get at the table so we could all eat together..
Very pricey & not a lot of pasta dishes. But what they have is delicious!
I've been going there for years.
GThe food is amazing.
But recently has hike up prices.
Over priced
40 ounce steak at 180$ Montreal expensive steak.house are at max 129$.
Plate of lemon pasta at 30$
Service is great & friendly atmosphere.
Overall an *above average to good* dining experience.
• The ambiance was excellent, nice décor, mood lighting etc.
• The food had unique flavouring, however all the dishes were a little heavy on the salt.
The lamb: was excellent (—better than Gibby's in Old Montreal)! [caution: salt]
The rappini: Nice firm cook, great use of garlic [caution: salt]
The tortellini Gigi: delicious sauce with bits of prosciutto [caution: salt]
Shrimp appetizer: Good garlic/better dressing, but the shrimp were stiff, possibly frozen.
Calamari: Tender, not rubbery, 2 choices of dipping sauce (tartare & cocktail), but only had rings, no tentacles which made me wonder if the supply was pre-frozen as well.
The complementary sausage was out of this world! Nicely done!
• The service was friendly & attentive
The one drawback with the service is that too many people were asking if everything was OK. Perhaps that role should be limited to the waiter & the house manager, but we had bus-boys & waiters of other tables asking us, which was starting to annoy me. In a span of a few minute I answers 3-4 times.
Positive: No request was an issue. I asked for new napkins & utensils for myself & the entire table was changed! Excellent!
Opportunity: Wine was left to us to pour. I don't think a waiter ever poured a single glass.
I give a rating of 3.5 stars or a 70% because the price was a little high for overly salty food. While the lamb was really fresh & cooked to perfection [caution: salt], the seafood & pasta did not taste like they were fresh. The prices don't reflect the food.
We had a wonderful dinner with the service being excellent as we were well looked after. We had a variety of entrees from pasta, veal to steak. All were very tasty & prepared & served in a timely manner. It was very nice to bring our own wines; the prices reflect the quality of the food you are served & we would highly recommend La Campagnola for that special dinner out.
Incredible pastas-- had the red wine & the lemon pasta incredible taste..thin crust pizza with cheese & meat served sliced
& the dessert was absolutely divine .Service fit for a king . Meals ranged about 28.00 per meal.At the end of dinner we wanted to kidnap the chief & force him to cook these great meals
What a wonderful restaurant. One of our favorites. Homemade cooking, staff goes above & beyond to make you feel welcome & part of the family. FRESH meats & fish for the specials of the day. Pizzas & pastas all delish. The owners circulate to make sure patrons are served well...which speaks volumes!
