Really big brewery/ restaurant/ sports bar. I came pretty late & it was so going. The servers were a bit inattentive but the beer was really good. High priced though. Good for watching sports or a place for big groups of downtown.

La Cage is a fine dining restaurant in the city of Montreal, Quebec. They serve complimentary popcorn as you are stepping into the restaurant. Waiters are so professional & friendly & you don't need to worry if you don't speak French they are bilingual!!
Food is fantastic but I so much fell in love with their cocktails. They were so good I forgot to take individual pictures of them. I can boldly say I've had my best cocktails in this restaurant.
Food came early, spiced so well that you'd want more.
There's a big screen to catch up with your favorite sports. A really cozy fine dining spot.

So The waitress got mad because of the tip in exchange of bad service but she doesn't know it's part the worst experience I had in recent years.
Service was too low & too slow.
First step at the door a waiter quickly told me all the tables are reserved (suggesting there aren't any seats left for me) but I had a reservation & they gave me one of the worst seats possible. Funny thing here is that During the 2h I spent there almost 2/3 of the place was empty (but all the seats were reserved & I wanted to just have a first experience at cage au sport & wanted to be optimistic)
Then I ordered 2 drinks , the mini burgers & another entree. I got the drinks but it took them around 40-45 minutes to bring the meal. But I wanted to stay in a good mood check a game, I didn't say anything & just ordered a third drink since i waited that long etc . ( even tho i was bothers by the long wait but I was mostly being polite at the moment) & if course I had trouble having water plus I had to wait & then decided to go to the front desk to get someone to bring me a bill etc
But what shocked me is that she was forcing a 15% gratuity on me. I offered 10% instead & politely explained to her my experience wasn't that great (& i still was in a positive mood because i really wanted to have a simple & relaxed afternoon )
But the girl got mad at me as if she won't accept less than 15% (while 10% I offered for the bad service was around 10$)
So I had to take it as a joke & shove my 10% back in my pocket.
She probably thought i would feel embarrassed by her comment for my 10% but in the end refusing the 10% was the most awesome part of her service to me. I just wish she was polite when refusing it in still happy with it. So this is why I'll give 3 star instead of 1.
& food was ok (on the lower levers of ok but it's ok, maybe I would do 2 star instead of 1) but I think it should be the norm to refuse tip when there is no good service

Je fais jamais de review restaurant, mais me voici: pour une brasserie sportive, c'est gênant de commander un fish & chips & d'avoir qu'une simple boule de panure, pas de poisson ou presque. Le service laisse à désirer, & les erreurs de factures étaient nombreuses dans notre groupe.

Great service. Our server (Kariane) was friendly, welcoming, pleasant, helpful & honest! Two hours after dinner, I realized I had lost my credit card. I returned to La Cage (where I had last used it) & was amazed that our server had found it & kept it safe for me. The ambiance is nice for a sports-themed restaurant/bar, & especially for fans of the Montreal Canadiens. After all, it's connected with the Bell Centre. The food was fine for this kind of place. Fried cauliflower appetizer. Burger. Poutine. We kept it simple. be honest, the poutine was lacklustre. The gravy was lukewarm & weak. The cheese sat there, big & chunky; it wouldn't blend with the fries or even slightly melt as I stirred it up. I've had enough great poutine in my life to know this wasn't representing Montréal. Perhaps the cook had an off night? It happens. The goalie can't always block every shot. Anyway, the free popcorn made up for the poutine & the cold Murphy's Irish stout & Griffintown craft beer made it all quite alright. We were there at 5:00 pm on a Friday (non-game) night. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but it was becoming busier. We walked by on a Saturday (game night) & it was super-busy, but looked like people were having a good time. Good drinks. Cold beer. Fast & friendly service. Decent sports-bar food. Nice ambiance. Great location. Honest staff. All in all, a good experience. We'd return.

Nous nous sommes arretes à la brasserie sportive en fin de journée pour boire un verre. Rien à redire sur l'accueil, serveuse souriante & agréable. Au niveau du service, serveur très souriant, chaleureux. Je recommande ce bar sans problème.

je ne suis pas une fan de la Cage aux sports mais celle à côté du centre bell wow!!! mon expérience a été vraiment haut de gamme service impeccable nourriture qui était très très bonne & en plus le personnel autour de moi hier le 17 août a été des plus agréable merci à toute l'équipe & au gérant de la Cage aux Sports à côté du Centre Bell chapeau merci pour mon expérience c'était délicieux & j'ai passé une très belle soirée!!!! Nous avons récemment déjeuné à la brasserie sportive. L'endroit est agréable & le personnel est accueillant & attentif. Cependant, notre expérience a été mitigée. Le steak frites que nous avons commandé était décevant, principalement en raison de la portion de viande, qui était insuffisante. Le plat est censé mettre en avant le steak, pas les frites, qui semblaient ici être la composante principale. En revanche, un point positif mérite d'être souligné : les cocktails étaient magnifiques & bien réalisés.

L'ambiance est vraiment bien surtojt pendant les playoffs meme quand que c'est pas le canadien, oui les prix sont un peu cher mais c'est la cage au sports toujours été comme sa, la bouffe & la bière sont très bonne

C'est une Cage au Sport. Le service était bien, c'était propre & l'ambiance était correcte. Il n'y avait pas de game des Canadiens ce soir-là alors c'était plus calme.

Excellent place to hang out & watch sports. I was in Montréal on vacation & was worried I wouldn't be able to watch my college football team play but not only did they have the game, they put it on very quickly. La service & la nourriture étaient très excellentes & je reviendrai ici la prochaine fois que je suis à Montréal. Merci beaucoup! 😊
