La Buvette du Dep feels cozy and festive, with charming decor that gives a warm welcoming vibe and a touch of magic during the holidays. The menu features great coffee, pastries and a delicious hot chocolate, plus seasonal drinks and comforting bites, all supported by friendly and attentive staff. Even when busy, the space remains inviting and relaxed, making it a go to spot for unwinding with tasty drinks and comforting treats.
Visited with a friend while their Christmas decorations were still up. It's really cozy, pastries were great as well as coffee.
I would definitely recommend this one as it's both relaxing a little bit magical thanks to the decor.

Je suis allée un jeudi soir avec une amie, on a trouvé le décor super chaleureux & très beau. C'était un peu silencieux, donc l'ambiance j'ai mis 4 étoiles & ils étaient en changement de carte de vin, donc il restait peu d'options (mais elles étaient bonnes!)
Sinon, je recommande vraiment le gravlax, c'était sublime. Overall chouette endroit pour prendre un verre!
La Buvette du Dep is a charming café in the Plateau. The ambient lighting & decor make it feel like a calm, cozy environment. I went here for brunch, which they serve every weekend from 9-3pm if I remember correctly.
After craving pancakes, I immediately chose the lemon meringue & blueberry pancakes off the menu. It was sweet, tart, & covered with maple syrup. I loved it, & would probably add more syrup. My partner got the foccacia which was filled with more savory & nutty flavors. We both grabbed matcha lattes, which were pretty standard & just vibed.
The service was very chill, definitely contributed to the cozy environment. It feels like a place that you come to when you want to feel comfort & familiarity.
Overall, I'm rating it a 3 because it wasn't anything extraordinary, but I believe a lot of people would be attracted to the vibe.

On a adoré y aller en décembre dernier. Les décorations de Noël rendaient l'ambiance magique. Le service était super. Malgré la longue file extérieure (dû au thème des fêtes), on ne ressentait pas de pression de se dépêcher du tout. Je dois tout de même dire que les boissons spéciales de Noël étaient overpriced!
Superbe belle place découverte par hasard en marchant sur la main
Belle décoration soignée avec beaucoup d'objet vintage (mix de chaise dépareiller, fauteuil les cosys, beau comptoir en granit)
& en plus le service est très courtois!!

À quelques jours de Noël j'ai eu envie d'aller boire un chocolat chaud dans leur fameuse ambiance des fêtes. Ce n'était pas l'idée du siècle! Ne faites surtout pas une heure de route pour y aller. C'est très mignon mais rien de féerique, enfin rien d'extraordinaire! Oui c'est extrêmement décoré & ça fait de belles photos. On a fait la file dans un froid polaire car c'est très couru comme endroit, & je n'ai pas regretté lorsque je me suis enfin assise. Mais ce qui m'a déçue fut le chocolat chaud: tiède (je ne sentais même pas un peu de chaud dans ma bouche!) & en plus il est arrivé après 20 minutes d'attente. Dire que ce café est victime de sa popularité serait un euphémisme. Le serveur fut très gentil toutefois & a enlevé le chocolat froid de la facture. Est-ce que j'y retournerais? Certainement pas pour Noël, mais si je passe dans le coin un jour pourquoi pas.
Pretty nice coffee shop serving a variety of sweets & salty options. During Christmas time, it becomes'La taverne de Noel' & receives a large number of people, so expect some wait time outside in the cold winter atmosphere. Inside, the environment is warm & cozy. Service is good, & the decoration is a bit over-the-top, definitely very festive. Their pizzas are good & so is are the pastries.
I am a sucker for Christmas & this cafe does a whole holiday theme with over-the-top decorations & holiday menu. The egg nog drink was very good. Adorable! Very busy though, we didn't have to wait only because we showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday & were 2 people. You can bring your laptop between 8:30 & 11 am Monday to Friday.
Went to check the Xmas decoration as it's all over social media. First u can't see anything coz there is line so all Santa's r hidden. Inside another line u can't sit from all the noise. It's shame the beat time of the year is now nothing but commercial hype!
