La Buvette du Dep offers a cozy, charming cafe vibe with festive Christmas decor and a vintage warmth that makes the space feel magical. Hot chocolate, lattes, pastries, and savory options are widely enjoyed, with many noting comforting drinks and a welcoming atmosphere that invites lingering. The ambiance is warm and intimate, with delightful decor and a holiday mood that shines especially at Christmas, while the service is often friendly though not always fast. Crowds and lines outside can happen when reservations are not possible, and a few items are pricey, yet the overall experience remains worth it for the feel, decor and festive drinks. In short, La Buvette du Dep stands out as a visually impressive and cozy destination for seasonal treats and a dose of winter magic.
Very cute café, you really feel like you're in a Swiss chalet! The service is not the best, they take their time, don't go there if you're in a hurry. I can't speak for the hot chocolate or the food since I ordered a latte. It was catastrophic. I asked for a regular latte, regular coffee, regular cow milk, nothing fancy. I can assure there was no real coffee there, it tasted of yeast. Very bad.
La Buvette du Dep is a charming café in the Plateau. The ambient lighting & decor make it feel like a calm, cozy environment. I went here for brunch, which they serve every weekend from 9-3pm if I remember correctly.
After craving pancakes, I immediately chose the lemon meringue & blueberry pancakes off the menu. It was sweet, tart, & covered with maple syrup. I loved it, & would probably add more syrup. My partner got the foccacia which was filled with more savory & nutty flavors. We both grabbed matcha lattes, which were pretty standard & just vibed.
The service was very chill, definitely contributed to the cozy environment. It feels like a place that you come to when you want to feel comfort & familiarity.
Overall, I'm rating it a 3 because it wasn't anything extraordinary, but I believe a lot of people would be attracted to the vibe.
Lovely hybrid cafe / bar place for folks looking for a place to refuel or start their fun. I'm sober & my partner wanted an aperol spritz so this place was ideal! Very friendly too.

I am a sucker for Christmas & this cafe does a whole holiday theme with over-the-top decorations & holiday menu. The egg nog drink was very good. Adorable! Very busy though, we didn't have to wait only because we showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday & were 2 people. You can bring your laptop between 8:30 & 11 am Monday to Friday.
Have been wanting to go here for the longest time! We went at around 11pm Friday night & there was a line outside. Unfortunately there was so many people we were not able to sit down as they were closing soon. We decided to settle for take out so we skipped the line so go to the counter & order. It was very fast. I got a hot chocolate & a carrot cake & it was amazing!! Totally wish I got there earlier so I had an opportunity to sit down & take in the beauty of the cafe. Totally recommend!
