I don't think it's just because I was in food service for 15 years that I expect better than this. But here we go:
*Service is incredibly slow: It took nearly 20 mins to get my coffee drink. I understand someone was being trained, but it was for the person doing the training to say to the customers'they're in training, this could take a longer than usual' not just ignore that we're standing there. Also, when tickets line up, it's for that staff member to take over & get the customers their orders quickly & train when it's slower. This was probably the exception not the rule to service.
* Staff would disappear: There was one staff member for 2 floors (1st & 3RD) so they were constantly having to leave one floor or the other to take care of customers. The server seemed more than capable of handling the amount of customers on two floors, but not being there when a customer needed them. (Note to owners: this caused people to choose not to order at all & some to leave. That's money for you *&* your staff flying away.)
* Rude enforcement of rules: my friend opened her computer to show me something & we were told that if we wanted to work, that's what the 3rd floor was for. We explained that she was just showing me something, we weren't working & he repeated himself & stood there until the computer was put away. There were no visible signs that computers cannot be used in *any* way on the 1st floor. I *did* notice one, the size of a coaster, on another table on the way out.
* This same employee slapped down a reserved for X time (i.e. in 15 minutes) on the table. Having someone say,'Excuse me, we have a large party coming in & we're going to need these tables. Can I help you move to another?' isn't too much to ask for. They removed the signs 5 mins later & set up the table elsewhere. The place was not busy, that space could have (& should have) been confirmed *before* disturbing us.
It seemed like this staff member was coming in for their shift. They clearly had no idea how much money we'd spent before they got there & just saw us with water glasses on the table & made a judgement/decision to treat us accordingly.
ALL of that said: The staff member who was there on my arrival was delightful (5⭐). He was personable, informed & managed the floor well.
The place is very pretty. The third floor is really beautiful & peaceful & I would have loved to come back to work from there.
The food, though prêt à manger, was good.
So there you go. Basically an open letter to the owners.View more

We stayed nearby & stopped in twice for coffees. A very cute, well lit & spacious cafe with baked goods & also locally made jams, spreads, sauces & other goods.
Honey latte & vanilla matcha lattes were delicious & so was the scone.
Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!View more

Best coffee spot in Montreal so far. I got a latte & some treats on the side: Nutella sablé, almond & chocolate croissant, chocolate chip cookie, & a cinnamon roll with raisins. Everything was delicious, & the vibe was awesome-super cozy with tons of plants. Loved it!View more
This is a fantastic coffee shop! The furniture is stylish & comfortable, creating a cozy atmosphere. The coffee & desserts are delicious - we tried the Nutella sable, chocolate cookie, latte, cappuccino, & matcha latte, all of which were excellent. The space is spacious & filled with green plants, adding a refreshing vibe. They also offer private rooms for reservations, including conference & workspaces, making it perfect for meetings or getting some work done.View more
Coffee & ambience were great. Lots of seating areas. Surprisingly, there were signs prohibiting to use your laptop which I find weird. Bakery was good as well.View more
I like this café & will definitely return, but I'm not a fan of the coffee-it's a bit too sour for my taste.View more
I liked atmosphere😍 also they're making good coffee as well☕️🧁View more
Vibey spot. Top floor is quiet coworking. Main floor is like a lounge. & the basement has an illusion museum. Coffee is really good here. They have the bold Say When chai. Immaculate vibe. One of my tops! It would be dope if they had social or speed dating events here. Strong wifi as well.View more

My friend asked for coffee w milk, I ordered coffee w cream, server used the same 3.5% carton 😃 when I found the coffee ☕️ strong, she said, sorry, we don't have cream. She was still nice & offered me extra milk 🥛View more
adorable place, stunning coffee had a toasted sandwich as well, which was definitely worth it :)View more
In my month long stay in Montreal, I went here thrice for its drinks & vibes. Cute corner coffee shop.View more
Great place for coffee, cocktails & wines. It's usually quiet so I go here to read often. Staffs are always friendly & welcoming. But I wish they care more about cleaning. many times the tables are messy with drink stains & bread crumbs.View more
Amazing venue! Had the best scone & cappuccino of my life. Coffee, cocktails & treats! The decor is eclectic & retro. A great place for a date or coffee with your friends.View more
This is a very charming little cafe. The decor is whimsical & avant garde. The atmosphere is very casual & relaxed. You can connect with a friend over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Food is just regular snacks such as muffins & sandwiches & some pasta even. They also sell some food items, tea, & beautifully illustrated postcards!View more
Super nice cafe, the scone was ok. The bean bags are great, got fruity delicious coffee to make at homeView more

Amazing place & beautiful vibe! Just makes you feel you're in Europe! Loved the ambience & food. The salad was a disappointment as I thought it will be served freshly. Overall the croissant, coffee & carrot cake were utterly delicious!View more
Coffee is good but food is below average. All cold & heated in microwave. The frittata heated in the microwave came out like rubber. Not ideal. Standards can be elevated to suit the beautiful set up of the cafe.View more
Good coffee & great decor, not sure why cafes always play the loudest pop music, who can study or work to this lol?View more
