I organized my fiance's 40th birthday party at la bêtise & it was amazing. The food, the service, the drinks, the price; everything was great. They were very accommodating with all my requests & all night they checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory. Thanks for much Doug & Kevin! 10/10 recommend.
Tried this restaurant through Montreal à la table. Set menu for $65. Appetizer salmon crudo was excellent 5 stars for sure. Main dish of octopus was plentiful & grilled to perfection. Also 5 stars. Others in my group had beef cheeks & pasta & said they were underseasoned & just ok. Service was good. Drinks took a long time to arrive but were delicious. Dessert was ok. Charming decor & restaurant was very busy. Overall a great night.
Very warm & attentive service outside on terrace. Excellent fried cauliflower , tuna tataki, French fries. Portions are huge! Extensive drinks menu. Will return for sure!
The service & food were excellent. We ordered the'Plateau Roi de la mer' which was so delicious & beautifully presented. The drinks were superb. Our server was extremely attentive to our needs. We're definitely going back.
We got the seafood platter with extra oysters. The only issue is the oysters weren't on ice so a couple of us felt a bit sick afterwards so maybe ask for them on ice. Besides that, the rest of the platter was really good & so were the drinks.
I usually go to Betise Rosemont but wanted to try the MTL a Table menu here. The tuna app & octopus were both very good & the meat options were decent but I felt like they were really missing the wine pairing to be better. However, I was disappointed with the service. Our waiter just really seemed like he didn't want to be there. He was very slow to come around & never asked us if we wanted more drinks or anything so all we had to drink other than water were the cocktails we ordered at the beginning. I guess we saved money, but I would have liked some wine with dinner. We asked to split everything but no small plates were brought & he completely forgot about our coffee with dessert too. When we brought up the fact that we'll forget about the coffee he didn't even apologize or seem sorry he just said yes it's too late. I will say that the table beside us was loud & obnoxious & seemed to have had an argument with him at some point but he was still slow & inattentive before the argument so I don't think that's the whole story. Anyways, I'll probably continue going to La Betise Rosemont instead of Verdun.
Gros gros gros coup de coeur ce soir pour cet endroit! Tout d'abord le service d'Éloïse, elle était plus que parfaite, sympathique a souhait, cette jeune femme adore son travail & ça parait! Pour l'endroit c'est charmant, le genre d'endroit ou on se sent presque a la maison. C'est coquet mais sans prétention. La musique est bonne & on s'entend parler. Les drinks étaient vraiment gouteux Éloïse les fesait avec beaucoup de savoir faire! J'en aurais pris 20! Maintenant pour la nourriture, nous y étions dans le cadre de MTL a table. C'était ma première fois a ce resto & je l'ai choisi pour son menu « spécial MTL a table » qui me semblait alléchant. & bien je ne fut pas déçu & mon chérie non plus. Tout était tellement bon! J'étais épaté par chacune des saveurs. J'ai pris le steak de thon & les raviolis a la courge! Meilleur pâte & thon que j'ai mangé a Montréal! Je pensais y retourner la semaine prochaine & manger exactement la même chose mais malheureusement ces items ne sont pas sur leurs menu régulier & après avoir regarder leur menu c'est moins moins genre. Mac & cheese, dumpling, steak frittes... j'aurais tellement souhaité revoir le steak de thon & les raviolis 🙏🙏. Je reviendrai peut être quand même pour le plaisir de revoir Éloïse. Cet endroit mérite d'être connu! L'an prochain pour MTL a table je vais réserver plusieurs fois 😅. Merci a toute l'équipe pour cette belle soirée.
I went with a friend, had reservations, was pretty early. We were well greeted. Food was good. Lots of fish & seafood , so if you are more a meat person, this might not be the place. The serving staff was eTing at the corner of the bar, the restaurant had been opened for at least an hour , so.i recommend you eat before you open. Waitress comes over takes or order. We go for drinks first. After 10 mins same waitress comes to see if we want to order food , we hadn't gotten or drinks yet. She said sorry, & went to try & make or drinks. Mine was a Ceasar , well she had no clue, tried looking for things, one other waitress tries to help. She even went to the bar tender, maybe a boss aswell. Any ways he helped her a little just to show her were some ingredients were, then sat back down, a little while later she finished my drink & star5wd the same thing for my friends drink. Same thing. Finally bartender got up & decided to help. Poor waitress she had no clue. I put this on the bartender or owner, it's called training . I even got up & went to get some Tabasco for my Ceasars, poor her didn't put any it it. Rest of the evening went well. But the price on twist off wines is totally excessive. 60$ for a twist off of of 9$ max.

I enjoyed a dinner on their patio on a Saturday. We all enjoyed our meals but found the service was slow. It took over 45 minutes for us to get our appetizers & drinks. It wasn't very busy at all, either. I'm hoping it was just a bad night for the staff because the food was really good. I had the Peking duck for my main while my companions had steak frites, lobster mac n' cheese & scallops (?). The only disappointing plate was the grilled vegetable appetizer. Its sauce, maybe a teriyaki variety, was too sweet.
Tasty food but as an entrée, the portion was too small. Service was a bit off (drinks came at different times & we had to wait several minutes for everyone's food to arrive). Cozy atmosphere & friendly staff.
Warm, friendly service. Churros were amazing, tuna tataki a bit overcooked, cauliflower a bit under. Overall medium food, decent drinks. Would return for post-dinner drinks & dessert, but probably not for a meal.

Great service!! The restaurant was super busy but we never really waited for anything (ordered right away; we're moved to a better table; etc). The menu is refreshing & fun to share. Great for a date night or drinks with friends! Ambiance chaleureuse aussi:) Merci pour une tres belle soirée
