Visiting from Toronto. The Coconut Chia Pudding is out of this world good. Flat White with oat milk is 10/10. Also got the chocolate-almond croissant, looks great, best-seller, but haven't tried it yet. Cool little spot in an industrial area of Montreal, recommended.
EDIT 2026 : En 2022 j'avais mis 2 étoiles car les viennoiseries semblaient dater de la veille. & bien j'y suis retournée plusieurs fois & elles sont maintenant très bonnes & le service sympathique !
2022 : J'ai voulu tester une autre boulangerie, mon choix s'est porté sur la Bête à Pain qu'on m'avait recommandé, & bien j'ai été déçue par les viennoiseries. Vraiment.

I would have given this place 7 stars if I could! We tried half of the menu in 3 different times everything was delicious (both food items & pastries) the bread is incredible so I bought a few! The owner & staff were extremely nice as well! It's definitely a sort of a hidden gem in the heart of griffintown! Very recommended ❤?
I've been here a handful of times since the location is convenient for me. I originally was only going here to get sourdough bread once a week but then decided to try their food & drinks. I will say, the atmosphere is cozy but depending on the time of gets very busy & hard to find a seat - good things is not everyone lingers & eventually you'll find a seat. What I ordered/Have Tried: Grilled Cheese, Italien Sandwich, Parfait au Yorgurt Grec & drink wise I always get their Vanilla Late with Almond Milk with caramle drizzle. I've tried it cold & hot & both are amazing. I feel like when you dine in, your drink portion is more & when you also dine in to eat, the presentation of the food is great! The staff if friendly & the food comes out to you pretty fast considering how busy it gets. Highly recommend & if you find yourself waiting a long time, just browse the furniture store next door to kill some time lol
Delicious homemade apple caramel syrup. Delicious pastries, but not much space to sit. Price very reasonable. 35$ for 3 pastries, 2 flavored lattes & 15% tip. Paris brest: 9.3/10, a bit too rich & sweet but so delicious. Almond croissant: 8.2/10, buttery, flakey & not too sweet. Very good, but perhaps missing a tad something or maybe I just like them a little sweeter. Would definitely recommend. Cinnamon roll: 6.8/10. It's alright, it is beautiful & big, but not enough moisture to my taste. If you like a drier not too sweet roll, this might be great for you. Next time I need to try the grilled cheese, the tiramisu, the croissant & chocolate roll.
Lot of choices hard to decide. Jambon-beurre was good even though baguette was a little bit dense. The bread with olive & tomato was good also. I would not recommend canelé & Brioche Jambon.

Leur croissant & chocolatine se rapprochent selon moi le plus de ceux que l'on retrouve en France! Un lieu très agréable que je recommande vivement pour votre petit déjeuner ou lunch!

Très bon service, très bon pain, les chesskake au poire sont délicieux, leur café est devenu une addiction. Tout le personnel est accueillant, gentil aux petits soins, la propreté il y a rien a dire. La bête à pain ou maison corbeille est la bonne adresse pour travailler en ligne, faire votre petit dej ou même prendre un verre . Leur slogan good food good mood va a merveille avec l'endroit. Je recommande.
I recently visited La Bête a Pain, Breakfast was amazing... What a nice experience the staff were so polite, the food here is outstanding. & the bread so fresh! I came across a tomato sauce, Les Aliments Amica, it was delicious with fresh ingredients which is very important for myself & family! My kids also loved it. It's such a convenient option when you want a tasty sauce without the hassle of making it from scratch. I highly recommend it. Will be coming back for more!

I'm so glad I came across this place as it happens to be a stone's throw away from my condo. The layout is beautiful, Simple yet very intimate & is a really nice atmosphere to just enjoy a coffee & relax. The serving staff is really good at creating a wonderful experience for guests & I personally had an issue with one of my coffees being burnt & they quickly & with no questions asked replaced it at no additional charge. These little gestures really go a long way for me & is a reflection of the quality of service that they provide not only for myself but for anyone that enters those doors. I really enjoyed the food & you can tell that everything there is made with a great quality. Overall I would highly recommend this place.
During our family visit to Montreal, we really enjoyed our visit to La Bête à Pain (Griffintown). It was our first time to Montreal & we visited this bakery for breakfast based on google reviews & we were really impressed by everything in there. The first & foremost thing I wanted to highlight is the staff who were amazing, welcoming & very tentative to our needs & gave us a lot of recommendations for our breakfast. A big thank you 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 When it comes to food, it was super delicious, well seasoned & presented perfectly. It is definitely a highly recommended place if you will be around in Montréal. I will definitely be back again & again.
