Always a pleasure to stop by at one of their locations. The service is impeccable & the food is always great. A big menu to choose from (brunch, viennoiseries, ready to eat), a nice location for a date or with family/friends.

Nous avons été charmés par le charme de La bête à Pain à Laval. Le décor & l'ambiance sont insoupçonnés!! Le service est 10/10. Assis au bar avec mon conjoint, nous avons adoré voir Olivier s'affairer à la cuisine comme un vrai chef d'orchestre. La chimie & la camaraderie parmi le staff est palpable. Les plats sont bien proportionnés & la valeur qualité prix est réconfortante en ces temps austères économiquement! On recommande chaudement cet endroit pour faire différent pour un brunch intime & agréable un beau dimanche matin… mon plat de granola & celui au saumon de mon mari étaient délicieux arrosés d'un spritz rafraîchissant au limoncello 😍

The menu itself doesn't offer a huge variety, but what they do serve is well made. The bread is baked fresh on site, & there's a good selection of pastries to choose from, which is definitely a highlight.

Ils sont rendus trop difficiles, entre le déjeuner & le dîner on est obligés de prendre le brunch, on ne peut pas prendre un café avec une croissante par exemple, comme avant. En plus. Il y avait des tables vides & nous ne pouvions pas choisir une autre table, ils étaient réservés, je me demande comment on fait pour réserver tel ou tel table??? Quand je réserve jamais ils m'ont demandé quelle table je veux... Entk, nous sommes partis, je me sentais comme dans une dictature!!! Dommage, parce que j'aime la place.
J'ai vécu une expérience décevante lors de ma visite à ce restaurant pour un brunch. La gérante camille s'est montrée assez désagréable dans son attitude & son accueil, ce qui a vraiment gâché l'ambiance. De plus, la cuisine manquait de variété : le choix était très limité & ne correspondait pas à ce qu'on attend normalement d'un brunch. Dans l'ensemble, ce n'était pas une expérience à recommander.
We love it here! It's one of our go-to places in Laval for brunch! It never disappoints! Our favourites are definitely the croissant with salmon or smoked meat eggs benedict as well as the shakshouka! If it's your first time here, you definitely have to try their bacon! You could also get some pastries after your brunch, it's one of the best in Laval! ❤?
If you're going during the weekend, you have to make a reservation because it gets really busy!

Meilleur brunch à Laval & de très loin! Je recommende les oeufs Benedictine à la turque. Servis avec du saumon, c'est tout simplement delicieux! Le service est aussi impécable & le décors est enchanteur! Il y a aussi un comptoir de viennoiserie & de pain à ne pas manquer (venez tôt, ça finit vite). N'oubliez pas réserver, la fils peut être longue!
Update: les oeufs bénédictines à la turque ne sont malheureusement plus sur le menu (bien domage car pour avoir essayer 75% du menu, c'était definitivement le plat plus savoureux, riche en sauveur & original). Plat remplacé par saumon avec oeufs & fromage à la crème aux avocats & salade Niçoise au thon. Quelque peu décevant, 3 maigres morceaux de thon. Le smash burger était cependant delicieux comme à l'habitude.
Petit espace, mais toutefois assez cozy! Très bonne deuxième expérience! La première fois que j'y suis allée, j'avais pris un grilled cheese au kimchi pour le brunch & il était très bon (il ne figure plus sur le menu). Cette fois-ci ma table & moi avons pris une chakchouka (9/10: très bon avec le feta) & l'assiette de saumon fumé (9.5/10: j'ai moins aimé les chips de pain mais c'était très bon) à partager. Nous avons également pris comme boisson du thé vert (9/10), un cappuccino (7/10: le café était trop amer à mon goût) & un chai latté glacé (6.5/10; ce n'est pas le meilleur chai latté). Le service était bien, rapide & nous avons passé un bon moment. Nous avons terminé notre repas avec une tartelette au citron (7/10; pas assez acidulé à mon goût). Je recommande d'essayer, le reste du menu a aussi l'air délicieux!
Went there last week for brunch for the first time, & the food is so delicious, it's worth the price honestly. You can see them make the food it leaves u salivating. The place is clean & very aesthetic, so excellent for pictures. Right next to it there's a flower shop, so after eating u can walk around & smell the aroma. Overall good experience. The service may be a little slow, but that's only because they were understaffed that day, be mindful to your waiters :) Strongly recommend !!
A diner within a bakery that served gourmet & comforting cuisine. The place was always bustling, with constant activity & a somewhat chaotic atmosphere. The lunch menu was on the pricier side, the portions were modest. The brunch menu included select items from the lunch menu on the weekends. While the food was generally good, it lacked consistency. We loved the Tartine de Champignons, but upon returning the next week, we found the recipe had changed & it was not what we anticipated. The Americano coffee was served in various styles & sizes of mugs: sometimes oversized, or large with or without handles, & occasionally in tiny cups, which forced me to order two to meet my caffeine needs.
Great place for modern breakfast & tons of amazing bread options. Perfect place for brunch as well but make sure you reserve in advance. I tried & loved their side dish bacon!
