I came here with high expectations, especially after seeing all the great reviews, but unfortunately, the brunch fell short.

The mango jam on the brioche plate was completely tasteless, the shakshouka tomato sauce was very acidic, & the eggs were overcooked.

What disappointed me most, though, was the service. There was only one other table in the restaurant, yet no one came by to check if everything was okay. When 3/4 of a plate is left uneaten, I think that's a pretty clear indication that someone should ask about the food.

Unfortunately, this was not the experience I was expecting based on the reviews.

Le plan original était d'une journée à la plage Jean Doré mais les circonstances se sont transformées en promenade à Verdun. C'est de cette façon comment j'ai découvert ce café. Terrasse invitante & d'une belle décoration intérieure. Je n'oublierai pas l'attention du personnel lors de la prise de commande. Le désir que je savoure mon café latté & mon repas s'est fait ressentir. Très heureuse du changement de dernière minute & de l'échange agréable avec le personnel!

Amazing experience all around:
The staff is super friendly, respectful, proactive, & welcoming.

The food was very tasty: we ordered the brioche smoked salmon & the combination of flavours was really good! The avocado was fresh & I loved the addition of pickled onions. The grilled cheese had an explosive flavour in the mouth… with the combination of melted cheese, ham & egg & the maple syrop.. it was a flavour experience! Finally, the shakshuka was super filling & tasty option (my personal favourite )!

The Dore Tropical, described as featuring mango & peach, fell short on flavor. The mango notes were barely detectable, & the fruit component consisted solely of pineapple chunks rather than the advertised blend. Portion size was a bit small, with whipped cream comprising the majority of the dish.

Additionally, the excessively loud blender made conversation amongst us difficult when used.
