View more
Been there for a birthday, service was great, the staff was friendly! I did feel like I was back in Japan. Food was delicious, nothing bad to say, I will come back. We tried different tapas & cocktails, everything was very tasty.View more
I was truly impressed by this restaurant-bar! It's great for solo dining & groups & the prices are very reasonable for the portions. I really felt like I was in Japan… the food is that good! ❤? The staff was friendly & always made sure we were comfortable! Ask for their recommendations & you'll be in for a treat!View more
The place itself is really cozy & a cool vibe. With the many options for good Japanese food in Montreal I would not recommend - food is pretty underwhelming. Could be a fun place to get cocktails.View more
i had an incredible time with my girl friend!! we dined , had some cocktails (highlight of the night: order the MOUNT FUJI !! the cocktail comes with a show 😊) we really enjoyed their tapas (takoyaki , tempura, etc) & main dishes! the staff was so nice & let us take our time to eat & chill 🤤View more
Meilleurs restaurants fait au canada, le service est excellent, la décoration nous plonge directement au Japon. Mention spécial pour les takoyaki & les tempura.View more
Kyodai Japanese Izakaya is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Japanese food in a cozy, vibrant setting. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, with beautiful decor that instantly transports you to Tokyo. The menu is full of flavorful small plates, fresh sashimi, grilled, & unique cocktails. Every dish is crafted with care & presented beautifully. The staff are welcoming & knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect pairing. A perfect spot for a night out with friends or a casual dinner date. Can't wait to go back!View more
Amazing experience. The staff is so friendly & the food is delicious, highly recommend the ramen & mango cheesecake!View more
The service was excellent in this place, but the prices are way too high for its portion size & its chicken was hard. Chances are you get the same enjoyment at a nearby restaurant for half the price.View more
We ordered the yakitori (chicken skewers), karaage (fried chicken), & katsu curry rice.
The karaage was especially disappointing, the chicken was extremely hard, with tendons inside that made it difficult to eat. It broke apart oddly with the first bite, & not in a good way. The yakitori skewers were very tiny & lacked flavor; definitely not what I expected. As for the katsu curry, the sauce was very basic, & once again, the chicken was tough & overcooked.
Overall, the experience was underwhelming, especially considering the texture & quality of the chicken in every dish.
I'm only giving this restaurant 2 stars because the service was good. Otherwise, the food itself would have been a 1-star experience.View more
Impeccable service with a smile! The food (ramen & karrage) was very good. The only reason I removed 1 star for the food is because I've had better (more meat, juicier karrage) elsewhere. Beautiful interior with Japanese music playing which adds to the atmosphere!View more
Japanese vibe all the way!
The food was perfect...good ramen & my favorite Tonkatsu.
I should've asked double the sauce since I keep craving itView more
L'okonomiyaki était vraiment bon, & les drink étaient très bien dosés.View more
The server who took our ten top was super friendly & gave amazing service even though we came last minute. He suggested me to grab the shrimp tempura & it was very fresh with a refreshing sauce. Our table ordered a bunch curry dons. He's super knowledgeable about the GTA which was really funny & surprising & took good photos of us. The only small con is no potatoes in the curry & I kept biting into onion thinking it was potato. Honestly worth the 6 hour drive & the speeding ticket we got otw to MTL would go again!View more
Everything deserves 5 stars in my experience. Food service & atmosphere.
I recommend 🤩View more
I only ate the main dishes & they were OK. But the SERVICE. MAN THE SERVICES WAS FIRE. THAT MAN KNEW HIS CITIES. great guy! Also the aesthetic is amazing. ( Photos attached). If you want a place to chill & drink with friends I would go here for the vibes. P.S park at the movie theatre.View more
The shrimp tempura was delicious, but that was the only menu item that I found to be excellent.
The Tako Wasabi was spicy, definitely cleared the sinuses with its strong wasabi flavor but I found it to be way too salty.
The Chicken Katsu was very disappointing. The chicken was somehow very dry & didn't taste like much, & the Japanese curry was mild as well.
The Angel's Tears cocktail was yummy. But it straight up just tasted like aloe vera juice with a dash of alcohol.
The cherry blossom decor in one part of the restaurant is beautiful.
Definitely bar-type lighting. I wouldn't recommend this place for a romantic dinner.
