went for a birthday, had the pork belly(SO GOOD) & salmon tataki very refreshing first time having tataki, 2 martinis for a total of 85$ without tip. Our waitress was super nice, patient & helpful. portions are a decent size a bit pricey but its normal considering its in the old portVoir plus

What a gorgeous food experience & date night. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with the old stone walls, understated elegant Japanese decor & warm lighting. The service was impeccable. The food was to die for. I completely forgot to take a picture of the main meal which was the chef's choice of 30 pieces of Maki. But it was just as beautifully presented as the rest of the food & the restaurant, but also was super delicious! The tuna tataki was to die for. Good prices. 100% recommend Kyo Bar Japonais!Voir plus

Food is really good, some great dishes. The chicken & beef skewers are great starters & the Curry is amazing. Makis are really good, but a bit slow to make & a bit difficult to understand how the roll actually is made. I will definitely come back & recommendVoir plus

We were looking forward to eating here as a large number of reviews seemed quite enticing. But unfortunately, the experience we had wasn't as great as we were hoping it would be. The service was passable. The atmosphere was fantastic. I removed one star because we ordered three different dishes to share & all three were disappointing. The lobster tasted quite'fishy', one of the rolls was served to us freezing cold (when it should normally be served room temperature) & chicken karaage was far too sweet (felt like we were eating sweet & sour chicken). I removed another star for pricing. Given the size of the portions (& the slight disappointment in each dish), pricing was excessive.Voir plus

Went here for our anniversary dinner. I recommend getting a reservation first to make sure you get a nice table. We got so much food & honestly it was crazy expensive. Get the chef's platters if you're not picky, they were super worth it, everything on it was delicious!! Absolutely the best sushi I've had in Montreal. The room is very nice but is a but is a bit tight for space. My girlfriend & I went here for my birthday a few days ago & we both loved it. Besides the tight fit for space, & my beer being a bit flat everything was delightful. Our server was fantastic (good intuition & had clearly served a long time) & the sushi was SO GOOD! 12/10, would recommend.Voir plus
