For a more immersive experience, Kwizinn Vieux-Montréal offers a range of special events throughout the week. Enjoy jazz nights every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm, while Fridays and Saturdays feature local DJs spinning beats late into the night. Every Friday to Sunday, indulge in a delightful brunch from 11:30 am to 3 pm, where you can savour dishes like our Fried Chicken Sandwich with coconut-marinated chicken, maple syrup, pikliz rosé, or the Tropical Wrap filled with sautéed vegetables and a choice of shredded griot or braised beef. The menu also features our creamy 3 Cheeses Mac n’ Cheese, the flavourful vegetarian dish Grilled Eggplant Obe Ata, and the savoury Chef Lafaille's Griot with fried plantains and pikliz. After brunch on Sunday, enjoy a lively Cuban night from 6 to 9 pm. We also have a private dining room perfect for groups and special occasions, and we regularly host thematic evenings, from Caribbean-inspired culinary nights to rum-tasting events.

This restaurant is getting 2 star for the excellent dj performance afterward, so disappointing. It's way too expensive for the food quality & service altogether. I order the griot which was OK, the black was rice not to tasty but the real downfall was grilled fish which tasted spoiled. I almost threw up. I am Very disappointed. If you looking for place to drink & enjoy good music this is the place but for the enjoyment of food & service don't come.near it.

Interesting staff, very kind to guests! For my daughter's birthday celebration the table was beautifully decorated with a nice bouquet of flowers & a delicious dessert with a b-day candle. Thank you Kwizinn, we will be back.

Ce samedi 25 octobre, j'ai passé l'une de mes meilleures soirées de l'année 2025.
La soirée GEDE était archi-intéressante & sympathique!
L'ambiance musicale, avec les DJ (masculin & féminin), en plus de la saxophoniste & du tambourineur qui les accompagnaient, était digne d'une soirée de grand festival.
Je me suis sentie hyper bien & je me suis amusée au max.
D'autant plus que le proprio: Mike ainsi que ses serveurs & son portier nous ont accueilli avec classe & délicatesse.
On se sentait comme en famille, malgré l'assistance qui était multi-éthniques.
L' atmosphère fut chaleureux, vibrant & relaxant.
Vous ai-je parler de l'emplacement où se situe ce restaurant haïtiano-caraïbéen?
En face du Marché Bon Secours, en plein coeur du Vieux-Montréal.
Donc, je ne pouvais demander mieux.
Cette soirée de'lâcher-prise' restera graver dans ma mémoire.
Évidemment, Kwizinn nous comptera à nouveau parmi ses clients: mon conjoint, moi & tous ceux à qui j'ai vanté la réussite de cette superbe soirée dansante.

I had dinner here with a friend, & our waiter, Mahdi, was exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating, & very professional. The food was absolutely delicious, & the music added to the warm, lovely atmosphere. The experience was well worth the cost. I'd definitely eat here again!
Everything about this restaurant is just WOW! The food is mouth watering; from flavor to presentation & even variety, it was just perfect. Every cocktail I had was gorgeous & well balanced! They even offer tasty mocktails for those who don't drink. The staff is so kind & the service is quick! Need I mention that there was a soul/jazz band there playing live music?! The ambience is wonderful & I highly recommend for all ages. Would be perfect for a date night or even a night out with friends. A true gem!
The food overalll tasty & good! The sauce chalè is spicy & good I loved it. Their pikliz need to be better The oysters were good I love the sauce that comes with it. The sauce for the oysters was tasty but tho thick it would be nicer to have more a liquid sauce. The oxtail patty very good but would love if it was more juicy & saucy inside but the tasty was there very good ! Then the lobster pasta was good too! But I would love it more saucy. The service was a bit slow they seem low staff. The lady on the front was ok I think she could be more warmth & welcoming. The atmosphere & deco are nice but they were playing latino music all night. I would love to hear some carribean vibes in a carribean restaurant . Would I go back? Definitely it was good
Mon mari m'a fait la surprise de réserver au Kwizinn & c'était une soirée parfaite! L'endroit est magnifique, & la dj a fait d'excellents choix musicaux pour créer une bonne ambiance, tout en nous permettant de pouvoir discuter agréablement. Le service était exceptionnel, amical & professionnel à la fois, & côté nourriture, on s'est régalés! C'était recherché & réconfortant à la fois, très goûteux & fait avec amour. Définitivement, on y reviendra. Merci chéri pour la belle découverte! 🙂
I celebrated my birthday here (large group of about 20 people) & every single person LOVED the experience. I highly recommend the tasting menu, it was an incredible bang-for-buck. The food was absolutely amazing, the place is gorgeous as well with a nice atmosphere. Chef Mike helped me set up the reservation & he was amazing & so helpful. A total 10/10 experience. The music was also a 10/10, the server was so patient & sweet too (even though some of the guests were very late & kept changing seats. I was a server once, & that can be a lot to deal with but our server did it with a smile).
They have a speakeasy in the resto too, which I would have totally visited but unfortunately we had reservations at a club so we had to leave.
Chef Mike, if you ever see this you are a total rockstar! Not only will I be back but I will continue to recommend your resto to every person I meet!
Our dinner at Kwizinn was exceptional! The cocktails & food were delicious. We chose their special price fixe table (Table d'hôte) option. The oxtail empanada, ceviche, fried pork griot, picanha steak were excellent. There was also live music - a mix of jazz, samba, & Caribbean music - which made dinner extra nice. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dinner in Old Montreal, just one block away from the most crowded locations there, but close to everything.

Wonderful restaurant with fusion cuisine! Really interesting combinations to make you re-think traditional notions! Live music on Thursdays & Sundays. Located in beautiful Old Montreal. Has outdoor seating. Romantic, classy. Run & make your reservations!
Amazing food, had their special April carribean sushi fusion menu & it was really good. The sauces were 🫶 A DJ was there but the music is not too loud. Very reasonable prices for Old port.
Went there on a Sunday. Lucky the cuban duo was there. The atmosphere was festive. We ate a lot of things, flavors & textures were interesting & tasty. This is a place you come with friends & a date, even family if yours like to enjoy good music.

Exquisite!! Booked back on Feb 1st for a surprise birthday dinner. We had the degustation meals which came with lots of options & truly each meal were fire 🔥🔥.
Everything we had hit the spot, the freshness, flavours to spiciness, to tenderness of the meat! The whole crew loved it & to please 8 different personalities & taste buds, I'm truly impressed & grateful for a superb experience.
I don't drink alcohol but the others did let me know they loved their drinks. My mocktail was on point.
The vibes were immaculate! Decor & music were amazing!

Très bonne cuisine ! Super restaurant. Haute qualité des produits. Cuisson parfaite du griot & du cabri ! Nous étions dimanche nous avons eu des musiciens cubains en live c'était top. Nous recommandons ce restaurant. Manger de la bonne nourriture des caraïbes par -15 degrés nous a bien réchauffé ! Le riz djondjon était excellent aussi ! Nous avions pris le menu dégustation ... Faire confiance au chef ! Très bons cocktails aussi 😉
TOO NOISY !!! before you walk in you are confronted with a blaring speaker pointing outside, with the door wide open. Then you get inside , the place is beautiful & the menu is interesting. However don't plan on having a conversation because the music is too loud & everyone is talking loudly to hear one another. Not relaxing or enjoyable. Just look through the window to see the pretty interior then walk away. Turn down the stupid speakers
The restaurant is quaint, the food is mostly good but the shrimp salad was pretty ordinary. The music was far too loud. The live band was great but I had trouble hearing the person across the table from me. The restaurant was not well heated, i don't usually mind the cold but had to keep my tuque on to keep my head warm. The speakeasy in the basement is no speakeasy at all, the music was far too loud & I still had a hard time hearing my partner. The decorations for Christmas felt a bit thrown together. The drinks were very nice but pricey, paying 22$ for a cocktail in a noisy room with people trying to talk loudly over the music made it difficult to truly enjoy the experience. Service in the restaurant was great, the staff is lovely. I won't be returning to the speakeasy (or recommending it to anyone) but I may go to the restaurant again because the food was great.
Lovely space, went on a slow monday (great for me), but lively Thr-Sun with live music. Food is great, but quite spicy! Definitely not child friendly as there are not too many options available.
